Hey everyone.
In today's blog post I will be reviewing the latest Netflix series which has taken over the Internet this year. Bridgerton reveived over 88 million views, whereas Squid Game hit over 110 million in the first week of its release. The entire 9 part season is based on a variety of Korean children's games which 456 adult players take part in. I believe that all of the characters are in difficult financial situations where they are either thieves or they owe people money, so by playing a series of games which sees them winning a cash prize, we see how all of the players interact with eachother, and whether any of them will leave with the cash prize.
The games included 'Red Light Green Light' which has a Korean doll as the main focus, and she says the words 'green light', you're able to move and if you move when she says the words 'red light', well...you die. So yes, although in real life if you lose a game, it's game over, in the series losing any of the games results in death. The mystery creator is masked for the entire series and we meet lots of interesting characters along the way with lots of twists and turns throughout. It's definitely one of the most gripping series' that I have watched and I'm more than certain that a second series will be coming out soon after the raving reviews that the series has had already!
