My Obsession with Bhad Bhabie

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

For those of you who do not know who ‘Bhad Bhabie’ is, you may be more familiar with her catchphrase ‘Cash me ousside how bow dah’ which came about after her first appearace on Dr Phil, an American talk show.

Back then, she was a spoilt and immature girl who did nothing but steal cars, throw verbal and physical abuse at her mum and take drugs etc, which is pretty much the ‘requirement’ in order to get onto the Dr Phil/Jerry Springer/Steve Wilkos show; (or the Jeremy Kyle show, the UK equivalent). On the show she said she wanted to go outside and beat up some of the audience members and the phrase of her’s ‘cash me ousside’ went viral and to this day she has been meeting other rap artists in the industry, creating records and selling out arenas. I was actually lucky enough to see her in concert back in July of 2018 at a London venue Her support acts were Yung Fume and BrynBP. Unfortunately the girl I was supposed to go with had to drop out, so I ended up going on my own and selling the other ticket for slightly higher than I bought, once I arrived at the venue and started making new friends. It was such an amazing experience and I was at the front row literally singing my heart out to her songs!

The thing that I find difficult to understand is all the negativity that she is getting from members of the public. She became famous because her phrase turned into meme’s, song remixes and ended up being used in other videos, so in reality, it was the public who got her famous, not Danielle herself.

I do understand those people who aren’t the biggest fan of Danielle, but the fact that she knew she always wanted to be a rapper and is passionate about what she wants to do now, shows that she is a lot more mentally stable than what she was beforehand.

She’s already released her first EP called ’15’, as that’s how old she turned before the release of the mixtape and it has some really funky and unique tracks including ‘Gucci Flip Flops’ featuring Lil Yachty, ‘Geek’d’ featuring Lil Baby, ‘Trust Me’ with Ty Dolla $ign and ‘No More Love’ which is more of a sad/depressing song, but probably one of my favourites from the mixtape.

Since the release of her mixtape she has met some amazing people in the media/music/fashion industry including Clean Bandit and Charli XCX whom she collaborated on a song with, called ‘Playboy Style’. She has also teamed up with ‘Copycat’ to release a makeup collection and also had a professional review of the products by Jeffree Star, one of YouTube’s most known Makeup Guru’s. In addition to this, she also teamed up with Snapchat to do a series called ‘Bringing Up Bhabie’ giving more of an in-depth overview of her life, and when she’s not posing for photo-shoots, releasing new music or on Instagram live talking to her fans, she gets upto other weird and wonderful things!

Obviously being a social media influencer, she’s going to have her ‘bad days’, and one of those included a little argument she had with Iggy Azalea at a Fashion Nova event. I’m not 100% sure about what led to the incident but apparently Iggy was saying some bad things about Danielle, and it clearly made her angry about the situation. Danielle a.k.a Bhad Bhabie, has gone on to release another TWO new tracks called ‘Babyface Savage’ with Tory Lanez and ‘Bestie’ featuring Kodak Black, and to be honest, these songs have to be two of my favourites so far, and I am so excited for her first proper album to be released!

I am so excited to see what Danielle works on next, but this is just an overview of some of her ‘best bits’ so far! Catch me on the next post!
