The sixth episode of the show was aired on 11th October 2020! During this episode, the girls of Little Mix were searching for their final group, an R&B/Pop group!
'Kyrome & Fabian the Family Boys' After a confident introduction, it seemed they were nervous to perform infront of the Little Mix girls! The brothers both bond over music and the instruments and Fabian said that he would like to see a female similar to Billie Eilish in the band alongside them...They made half the panel cry with their performance of Calum's Scott's 'Dancing on my Own' and then ended their performance with original rap lyrics. Leigh-Anne admitted that talent shows like this need people that are real, and she was in tears from the beginning of their performance!
'Eden the Elegant Grandma' Growing up from a predominantly white area, she thought she had to follow the rules of perfection, but decided to shave all her hair off and stand out from the crowd! With her shimmery dress and sparkling necklace, her vocals shone through in her performance as well! Leigh-Anne loved her performance and admitted that the growl kept her engaged, and she wanted to let Eden know that she is stunning! After Jesy compared her to being the front woman in a band and Jade being excited about how they could fit her in a band, she got 4 'Yes's and made it to the band room!
'Nimsay & Eldorado' I don't think they need an introduction as 'Nimsay's' real name is Yasmin (Read the word backwards) and Eldorado means something in Brazilian. Their performance consisted of dancing and singing in both Brazilian and English! Jesy said that she couldn't fault the performance as they brought the energy, with Perrie adding that the performance they gave could be seen on a stage! They didn't make it to the band room, but they definitely got the girls moving!
'Reuben the Reggae Boy' His musical journey involved a variety of different music genres including Folk and then Pop music, so it was an interesting performance as he was able to bring the variety of music to each performance! He was wearing a really long brown jacket, but he made it to the band room!
'Riya the Really Good Piano Player' Playing the piano and singing is a challenging task, but she was able to perform really well! All 4 of the girls seemed to be really into the audience, and it was a great cover of Anne Marie's 'Ciao Adios'! Leigh-Anne said she was different and unique and she got to the band room!
'Romina the Persian Rapper' Having lost her mother at 13 year old, music was her turn to and it saved her life! She also has a great relationship with her Dad! The song she took on Camila Cabello's 'Havana' and she seemed confident from the very beginning of the performance as she took on a variety of different dance moves; and then transitioned into an original rap verse! At the end of her performance she asked if she would drop the mic...but she decided to place it nicely on the floor! Jade admitted that there needs to be a member in the group who brings the banter, with Perrie adding that the dance drop she did at the begining of her performance was great! I think she's my favourite auditionee out of all of those who performed in this episode!
'Calum the Construction Worker' He admitted when he gets nervous, he can't stop smiling or giggling, but he said he is able to convery his emotions through singing...rather than his construction work! Performing his original song 'One Time', he performed for the judges. He looks like a really really tall Aitch, but wearing his light green jumper, he managed to impress the girls. I applaud anyone that can talk that fast, never mind rap that fast! Perrie described him as a 'cheeky chappy' and that he's 'man-ish and cute' - saying that he's better at rapping than singing!
'Versay the Verse Maker' Dressed in a shiny jumper and 'earthquake inspired' trousers, he took to the stage and performed a unique rap which included each of the girls names in the lyrics! Jade said that she was really happy when he mentioned her name, but jokily disappointed when he said the other girls names...and split the rose in half that he brought in for them all! (Awkward, but he got through anyway) #NoFavouritism!
'Josh the Junior Teacher' Appearing in a bright orange jumper and black hat, he serenaded the girls with a cover of Ne-yo's 'Let Me Love You' which went down really well with the girls as his husky voice sang the lyrics so beautifully! At the end of his performance he gave Jesy a cheeky hand kiss, and Perrie said he's not ac vocally strong as some of the other performers, but the rest of his performance was pretty sweet! Leigh-Anne said she loved the colour in his voice; including the different texture to his voice...sounding like something from the 90's! After receiving two 'No's', he didn't make the final cut!
Other people that performed included;
'Appoluso the Actor' (Who got a 'No!'), 'Ashley Tragic the Tech Guy' (Who got a 'Yes!')
All 8 of the auditonees that made the band room were then sent to rehearsals to perform in different sub groups to see which of them sounded well together! Ashley and Versay both 'brought it' according to the girls, and Eden shone out! With Riya, they said they couldn't critique her...but somnething was missing; and Jesy preferred Romina's rap compared to her singing. Kyrome & Fabian and Calum both disappointed the girls as they frazzled under the pressure, so let's see who gets through to the concert audition?
Kyrome & Fabian and Calum got sent home, and therefore the other 6 battled it out to see who would make the final R&P/Pop band! They took to a live performance infront of a selected crowd of Little Mix fans, and only a maximum of 4 were to make the final band!
The top 4 who made the R&B / Pop group were;
Romina, Ashley Tragic, Eden & Versay
(which meant Reuben & Riya were also eliminated from the process!)
That's all for Episode 6, tune in next week, when the 6 created groups go head to head in order to compete for the ultimate prize! Only one group will become the opening act for Little Mix's 2021 tour!
