Hey everyone,
I'm very happy I was able to watch this miniseries called 'It's A Sin'. it features Olly Alexander (previously known as Years as Years) starring as a gay man called Ritchie, and he becomes part of a group with Colin, Roscoe, Jill, Ash and others who are all on the journey of being gay, or in a world with gay men. The series highlights the discovery of HIV/AIDS and how it was seen back in 1980's, with one of the characters losing their jobs, and others losing their lives, with nobody knowing the true danger of being infected. There are lots of scenes which show the boys sleeping with other men, not caring about how it might affect them later on down the line, and once they all realise that they just have to deal with the consequences, they all come together to protest for supporting men with the disease and get publicity so that it makes people more aware on the dangers, but also to remove the stigma of catching the disease, but instead helping individuals with getting through it and being treated like ordinary people.
It was a great series that highligted the topic in a fun but also very informative way, and would definitely recommend watching it if you haven't seen it already!
