'Happy Gilmore 2' (2025) - Film Review

Hey everyone,

For today's blog post I will be summarising a film that I watched recently called 'Happy Gilmore 2' which follows on from the original film back in 1996 about Happy who is working towards being a golfer and then having some sort of issue and retiring from the sport. In the latest film starring Adam Sandler, Ben Affleck and some rappers including Bad Bunny and Eminem, the comedy entertainment film sees Happy getting back into golf in order to change his life around.

We see a few throwback clips where he seems to have an alcohol addiction, and even hit a golf ball into his ex-partner's face, killing her instantly...and having to raise 5 children by himself as a solo father. Throughout the film there are a lot of funny moments and also some competitive aspects where the golf professionals are entered into a different golf tournament to see who the best golfers are...and in end we see Happy become a successful golfer again once he stops the drinking of alcohol - which he seemed to manage to smuggle into as many household items you could imagine (a phone, a toothbrush and even his mobile phone to say the least)!.

It was a very funny film and it's great to see a variety of different lead actors being such excitement and thrill to a movie, and it's a definitely recommendable watch if you like funny films that don't require too much thinking!
