Hey everyone,

In today's blog post I will be discussing a very busy weekend that I had a few weeks back! Friday 6th June I met up with one of my friends from Brighton, VJ and we went out for dinner and spent an evening together watching TV and playing games and it was a lovely evening. He is going back to his home country in a few months and we don't really see eachother that often, but we regularly chat on the phone through text or video calls and we try to keep eachother updated with how our lives are going. He took me out for a Turkish meal in town and it was a lovelt evening...with a special visit from one of the men who works at the opticians in the high street!

On Satuday, it was Millie's BBQ which turned into a roast dinner and games night due to the bad weather (although it was alright until 3pm)...Millie was still getting ready while her boyfriend was downstairs preparing all the food and being on house husband duties. It was a small group of us, including Millie, Ben, Katie Rachel and their school friend Alfie (who was really friendly, and quite funny!). We were playing a handful of card and board games including Just Dance on the Wii and some UNO rounds, as well as a game where you needed to say a word beginnining with certains letters for a category before the time runs out. I think I was flirting a little bit with the only other male guest at the party, but it was a lovely evening and we stayed until around 2/2:30am which shows that it was a good night...

...after a short night's sleep, I was up again on Sunday for a tennis-inspired gathering with Kate who had just finished a tennis match (and won!); which was hosted by the lovely Frances and her partner, their children Henry and Ben who came along with their dog 'Disco', and a handful of friends from up north in Cheshire, down south and also people from the tennis club and neighbours. We had a variety of food to eat including some snacks which had prawns, bread, falafel, vegetable flavoured crisps and chicken pieces, followed by a few hours of a Shakespeare re-enactment where 5 guys were taking on multiple characters in 'As You Like It' - and I found another male crush (shock) called Lachlan Macgregor who played CELIA (cousin of Rosalind), JAQUES (an attendant Lord) and PHEBE (a shepherdess). I'll be honest and say that I didn't really understand what was going on in the play, but for the actors to have memorised lines for multiple different characters and change outfits in real time, it was a great performance and they all played their roles really well! After the play, Frances also had a BBQ with chicken, burgers, a variety of salads and snacks, as well as some biscuits and cakes for people to share. She also lives in a space that has several tennis courts, so were able to have a few games of fun tennis before people started heading home

So, that was my busy weekend but all three days were just as funny and exciting! It's nice to be able to get back into things that I enjoy and making memories with friends and family - not drinking alcohol and saving money are my two priorities for now, but I have to just make sure that I am enjoying every single day rather than just thinking about my one or two large goals. Until my next update, thanks for reading and goodbye!
