Hey!
What better way to make 2020 a better year? Oh yeah, by introducing some new television shows! 'Winning Combination' is a new quiz show which sees 9 contestants; (in this episode Carol, Matthew, Akua, Niamh, Jane, Rhys, Alan, Spencer and Joe) taking part in a new quiz game where their individual number could be the winning combination!
In order to get through the first round, the contestants have to answer a question correctly, followed by another question which only has two answers out of the possible six!
Carol, Akua, Jane, Alan and Spencer were the 5 contestants to get through to the first battle round! This meant that they would battle it out against eachother to see who will able to include their number to the final combination...Each contestant began with 4 points, and if they answered a question correctly, they got a point added to their score and had to remove a point from somebody else. At the end of the round, Jane and Alan had a 'tie breaker' question as they each had 4 points, and Jane got the right answer quicker, so decided to put her allocated number; '5' in the £100's of the Winning Combination!
Akua, Joe, Alan, Spencer and Niamh were the 5 contestants to get through to the second battle round! At the end of the round, Akua pushed her way through to the final and decided to put her allocated number '3' in the units of the Winning Combination!
Niamh, Rhys, Matthew, Alan and Joe were the 5 contestants to get through to the third battle round! At the end of the round, Alan pushed his way through to the final and decided to put his allocated number '7' in the thousands of the Winning Combination!
Spencer, Joe, Rhys, Niamh and Carol were the 5 contestants to get through to the fourth battle round! Unfortunately that meant that Matthew was out of the competition, and one of the above contestants was going to join Jane (5), Akua (3) and Alan (7) in the final! At the end of the round, Joe pushed his way through to the final and therefore put his allocated number '9' in the tens of the Winning Combination!
Alan, Jane, Joe and Akua were then up against the clock to answer as many questions correctly, that corresponded with their number! Akua answered 3, Joe, 9, Jane, 5, and Alan, 7; meaning that they were all going hope with an equal split of £7,593!
I think this is a really good show! With its first series airing during a world pandemic, I don't think people are going to forget about it anytime soon! But does it compare with quiz classics including 'Tipping Point', 'The Chase', 'Impossible' or 'Tenable'? Let's see! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading about the first episode of this show, and if you want to apply, then try and find the link online! Lol, bye!
