'The Sister' - Episode 3 of the Psychological thriller review

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

Hello again!

Episode 3...what's going to happen tonight?!?!??! (28/10/2020)

I thought I'd add the picture above to make you scroll down...Here's the episode update!

In the first past of the episode, there was a quick throwback to 2013 when Nathan and Holly were seen at their wedding, with all the guests present...apart from her sister Elise. Holly admits that Elise would have wanted to marry somebody like George Michael and revealed that all she wanted to do was walk down the isle with her Dad. Back to the house, while Nathan and Bob are out...Holly has a similar experience to Nathan the day before, where she begins hearing some creaking noises coming from upstairs, but unsure of what it is at the moment.

Bob drives Nathan and himself to Bob's garage to think about how they can dispose of Elise's body without being caught; with Nathan suggesting they should burn it outside or set her clothes on fire. Bob adds that it's a stupid idea to do anything that could possibly get them caught, and declines his idea. Nathan receives a call from Holly about whether he's having a good night and to see if he's alright. He lies, but admits he's had a 'weird night'; and after the phone call, Bob says that Nathan could have lied a little bit better by saying they had a few drinks and started playing on the Xbox or something...but to go home and think of a story to tell the wife, and when they've figured out what to do with the body, to then do it swift. Before the advert, Bob says 'Well, what are you gonna tell her?'

After the night of moving around the body of Elise, Nathan returns home to his wife Holly and makes up a story that Bob has asked to borrow £10,000- which she is confused by and questions him on by saying 'You should havs sent him to citizens advice', which was apparently something he did suggest, but Bob wasn't taking any of it.

Back to 2010 and the night Elise was killed. We find out that after Bob goes to explore the forest, Nathan and Elise get a little 'frisky', she also snorts some drugs...and then all of a sudden she begins getting all aggressive (most possibly an epileptic fit); smashes the window, and somehow she dies in the car, with blood dripping from her lip. Ew, but rest in peace. When Bob returns back to the car is angrily asks Nathan what he did, to which he replies 'I didn't do anything', 'I didn't hurt her'. Bob doesn't believe him and tells Nathan that they have to bury her body otherwise they will end up going to prison, especially because Bob was the one that provided the drugs...Elise's phone rings but Bob tells him not to answer, and instead let the phone continue ringing. Once they've buried the body, Bob drops Nathan off home and says 'You know what to do, and we can never see eachother again, you know that'. Nathan nods, agrees and silenty (but clearly still a bit shocked from what's just happened), leaves the car and heads home.

Hours later, Nathan rings up Bob and makes the realisation that the deady body is in Bob's freezer with a lock that Bob has also put on and has the key for. He asks to meet Bob urgently to find out what his plan is...and clearly there is a plan he's not told Nathan about. He admits that he doesn't trust Bob at this point and he wants to keep his wife safe. Somehow, Nathan gets into Bob's secret garage to discover that Elise's body is now no longer in there, and the lock has gone...He is supposed to be meeting Bob at the local pub at 6am, but says he's running 10-15 minutes late. Meanwhile, Jackie has been doing some background research on Bob Morror a.k.a Bob on the police system and is now on route to his home address.

Nathan then somehow manages to get into Bob's flat through the downstairs window...and while Bob is waiting for him at the pub, Nathan discovers a home made cinema screen. He plays the video and sees Bob sitting down talking to himself, saying 'What do I do next? Elise, tell me what to do now'...Nathan suddenly becomes scared and Jackie has now appeared at the house with a flashlight, so he decides to hide behind a table so that she can't see him. Bob rings up Nathan to see where he is, questioning him why he's been delayed with the addition of the line 'You know where I live, I'll be back at my place in 5'

To try and get Jackie to leave Bob's place, Nathan calls her up to explain that he wants to meet her somewhere, to which she replies 'What now? I'm on a work shift'. Nathan explains it's do with Holly and then quickly changes his story to say it's actually about Elise. Jackie asks him 'Nathan, what are you trying to say?' - and then an advert came on...Brilliant. On itvHub you could skip past them!

Alright anyway. Jackie gets out of her car as she sees Bob approaching his house...who is seconds away from stepping foot into his property. He asks whose car is outside his house and what ever happened to his other car? - Bob says he has sold the car, but there is no proof of any cars being sold with that car registration in the UK and says she will either contact Bob or he can ring her...Nathan is stuck in the living room of Bob's house...can Jackie drive away quick enough to give him enough time to escape through the window? No, obviously not. Bob catches Nathan trying to escape but instead of being angry or scared, he offers him a drink. He goes on to say that he's worked out how to get rid of the ghosts and other things that can haunt you...putting the pieces of the story together. He also says that Elise is watching the both of them whilst they are having this conversation. At the end of the episode, we find out that although Elise may have temporarily passed out in Nathan's arms, it was Bob that actually killed her...but how? I guess we will have to find out in the final episode which goes live tomorrow at 9pm!
