The third week of The Circle is coming to a end slowly but surely! So far we've seen Emelle, Sy and 'Jay', three of the original players get blocked...and then it was 'Judy' a.k.a. who was also blocked. We saw new players Ella, Paddy, Beth and Jack all enter, with Beth and Jack soon to be blocked, but as the 'comeback kids' as new player 'Joyce'! Gosh, I'm actually good at this whole reviewing thing aren't I?
At the beginning of the episode we found out that new player 'Josh' was going to be entering The Circle. In reality, 'Josh' is actually Busayo, who believes a white male would be more popular among the players..
As the new player, 'Josh' was given the opportunity to invite three other players into a group chat...and after browsing through their profiles; (fake or genuine), he chose Brooke, Georgina and 'Sammie'!
During the group chat, they discussed their most embarrasing dating stories, favourite meals and dream dates! 'Josh' said that if he was going to cook food for a girl, he'd make lentils and couscous, to which 'Sammie' got an inkling straightaway that he was a catfish as no man would cook that! She replied by saying she'd get a takeaway and 'have extra time for something else'...
When they were discussing dream dates, 'Sammie' said that she'd love someone to laugh her into bed and play with her hair, Georgina stayed simple and asked for candy and arcades, and Brooke would be happy with good food, banter and someone with a nice personality!
In the end 'Josh' felt the best connection with 'Sammie' and she received a bouquet of flowers!
After the 'group date', The Circle chat opened once again and Brooke thanked 'Josh' for the banter that he brought into the group chat, with 'Sammie' sharing his thoughts by saying 'Banter, what banter??'...Ella asked a question about travelling and Paddy wanted to know what conditioner 'Josh' used to make his hair so frizzy!
Ella then created another new chat with Woody (and soon added man like 'Josh' to the group also!). They discussed their interest in music, and more importantly, Woody almost made it into a Skepta music video! Make this happen please...Ella also revealed that Skepta turned up at her 21st birthday and performed a free gig! Can't lie, I would love anyone with a good voice to perform at my birthday...something to block out the bad karaoke from family and friends!
THE CIRCLE NEWS FEED WAS UPDATED...and all the players received information about something political...it was revealed that the three top rated prime ministers were Margaret Thatcher, Winston Churchill and Tony Blair!
Tim believed that 'Joyce' might know a bit about this topic as they lived through the Falklands war, but in reality she came back with merely political views...Why? Because 'Joyce' is indeed BETH AND JACK!
Ella decided to bring 'Joyce' into a group chat to try and work out whether she is a genuine person or indeed a catfish...She didn't catch 'Joyce' out, but there were some things that she said that just didn't add up...
Beth and Jack also had a little disagreement on the fact that Beth was the driver and Jack felt like he was the passenger, allowed to give advice when it suited Beth...I think it's difficult to play a profile as an individual, but when there's TWO players, trying to catfish as the same profile...that's when it gets more complicated, but I'm sure they'll be alright! They want to win that £100k prize right?
ANYWAYS, the most important thing was the ratings..Overall, Tim and Ella received a lot of 1st's, 'Sammie' got a lot of 2nd/3rd's and Woody, Brooke and 'Joyce' received 6th's and 7th's...so I'm sure the ratings won't be much of a surpise..
'Joyce' remained at the bottom of the leaderboard with Brooke and new boy Paddy...But with Tim and Ella as influencers, nobody is safe and anyone could be blocked from The Circle...
It was revealed to the influencers and the rest of the players that both Tim and Ella would state ONE player each for who they wanted to keep, and then reveal to the rest of the players who it was that they wanted to block...
To watch The Circle live, it's on every night (apart from Saturday), Channel 4 @ 10/10:15pm!
