The Circle UK Summary - (Thursday 10th October 2019)

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

At the beginning of this Episode, Tim and Ella had to decide which of the other players they wanted to save from the blocking.

It was over to Tim first for who he wanted to save from the blocking, and he chose Woody. Ella decided to save 'Sammie'...It was therefore Brooke, Georgina, 'Joyce' and Paddy who were at risk of being blocked from The Circle, and 'Josh' was immune as he was the newest player to join the game!

All four of the 'at risk' players had to then make their plea to stay in the game where anyone can MOST CERTAINLY be anyone. Tim and Ella decided amongst themselves who they believed had the better appeal message. Ella liked Paddy's message and Tim liked Georgina's. Who was going to be blocked from The Circle; Brooke or 'Joyce'...?

Brooke was blocked from The Circle, and was given the opportunity to meet one of her other players. She decided to go and meet Georgina, and they were both really happy when they realised the other was real. They had a discussion about the other players, as to who they thought could potentially be a catfish and who is real.

They both agreed that 'Josh' and 'Joyce' were two definite catfish left in the game, and that Georgina should try and befriend 'Sammie', to get on her side and brown nose her way to the final. Brooke also advised her that she needs to strengthen her friendships with Ella and Paddy as well, and that could take her to the final...Georgina admitted that she isn't a brown nose, and that's not how she wants to be perceived, but that's the best way for her to ensure her place in the final.

Georgina wanted to know why Tim changed his mind on the 'Scholar Squad' and decided to block Brooke. He said that he 'had both their backs' and then snaked her out when it came to the blocking. Tim admitted it was a difficult decision but somebody had to go! Georgina revealed that she had lost a lot of respect for Tim, because he said one thing and then his actions proved otherwise...

Woody then invited both Paddy and 'Josh' to a group chat to try and work out if they could 'pass the man test' and prove themselves as men. He asked Paddy and 'Josh' how many drinks would you order at once at a bar, and what's too many? Both replied with similar answers, saying that there's never an amount for how many drinks can be ordered!

The next question was about the first thing that they would both do after leaving The Circle. Paddy said that he would simply get drunk and stay in the country for a few days just partying, whereas 'Josh' would make himself a roast dinner? Slightly different answers, and I'm sure 'Josh' could have a roast dinner any Sunday, so that was a boring answer...

And finally the third question from quiz master Woody; the first thing that they would buy after coming out of the game...(but only objects that begin with the first letter of their name). Paddy said he would buy a penthouse apartment, lots of pen*s and a party boat, compared to 'Josh' who would buy a jukebox to host a grime night and raise money for charity.

*ALERT* - The players had to show off their decorating skills in a test! Each player received a pre made cake and all they had to do was decorate it. Simple? Nope, not for this lot!

Some of the players decided to go for a subtle look, whilst others decided to be creative with their designs. Ella and Woody went for images of the sun, Georgina's looked pretty but nobody knew what it was, and 'Josh' attemped to make the world on a cake, but was soon found out by 'Joyce' due to the long fingermarks on the mountains!

It was Tim and Paddy who won the cake decorating challenge, but just before they were given their prize, Georgina decided to take on Brooke's advice and invite some of the other players into a group chat!

Georgina invited 'Sammie' and Ella into a girls chat (still not knowing that 'Sammie' is JAMES!), but she'll find out in due time...Her aim was kill two birds with one stone, get some answers but also try and swerve her way into their friendship group. #SEGway

The first question she asked, is if they could come back and be reincarnated as anything, what would they be and why! Ella revealed she would want to be Jay Z so she could perrom on stage with Beyonce. Georgina admitted she would be Jack, from Jack and the beanstalk (not The Circle's Jack!)

and 'Sammie' would be Tom Hardy's boxers, so she could have his junk against her face all day...Wow, imagine that!

Georgina's second question to the new #girlgang was the funniest story they could ever tell. She then followed with the story of when she was in a nightclub and she dropped her ileostemy bag; (a bag to collect waste), the room went quiet and she shouted out loud 'I've sh*t all over myself'. I don't think we heard an embarrasing story from the others, but I think that one is quite funny!

As winners from the cake decorating challenge, Tim and Paddy celebrated with a bottle of gin, and were also allowed a guest to join them virtually...they chose Woody! #GinCafe

'Joyce' then invited Josh' to a group chat after noticing the nails in the cake, and to try and get the catfish detector of her (or Beth and Jack)...To begin the chat she asked 'I was just wondering how you made such intricate markings that created accidental nail marks' - such a professional way to say such a simple sentence, but that's 'Joyce' for you!

She then continued by speaking about herself and her bucket list. Seeing a football game was one of the things on 'Joyce's list, and as an Arsenal supporter she wanted to test 'Josh' to see if he knew what the new stadium was called...but he fell straight into the trap...

She also tested his knowledge on snowboarding, and which resort he went to...which 'Josh replied to with 'I only went snowboarding for my mate's birthday so I'm not really the person to ask...'. Smart answer, but will either of the catfish detect the other!
