At the beginning of the episode we found out that Blue Tally had invited Orange Tally to a private group chat to explain that she's unsure why there's a second profile using her pictures, and she'll be happy when the truth eventually comes out. Yolanda...a.k.a Orange Tally said 'I don;t even think she is who she says she is anyways', admitting that if Tally was actually real, she'd feel really bad. Tally said 'I have no words...if it's a game for everyone else, at least be honest with me', adding that she felt like Orange Tally was trying to get into her head and wind her up. Gemma decided that it would be a good idea to leave the Tally's aside as they're getting in the way of making new alliances and Orange Tally admitted that she needed to get more people on side and therefore more people believing her that she's real. Andy added that his gameplan had to be more aggressive, and Gemma did admitt hat Orange Tally had come cracking answers in the game yesterday, so whoever is playing her is doing very well!
Syed wanted to make a better connection with Vithun, so they started a private chat. Vithun explained that it was nice for someone to initiate a conversation and they were able to build a stronger alliance. Blue Tally then decided to invite Billy to a private chat to prove that she is a geezer bird. Their first topic of discussion was about the football teams they support, Billy supports Westham and Tally supports Brighton, and then they had a remote control race! Billy used his remote control mouse who he called Michael, and Tally used a little racing car! She added that although she lost, she's not a sore loser and Billy said that she didn't change the opinion he had of her, but she could be a good ally. Gemma invited Manrika and Penny to a girls group chat, and Penny asked whether Orange or Blue Tally was the real Tally, admitting that she didn't want to have an opinion different from the others, so tried to blend in. Manrika stated that 'from all our chats' she believed that Blue Tally was 100% real, which Gemma thought might mean that Manrika has had some previous chats with Blue Tally and decided to agree. Manrika thought that now that Gemma's showed her opinion, Penny would just be a follower and say the same thing, which she did.
Vithun then decided to invite Manrika to a private chat, admitting that they had 'a lot in common on both of their profiles', adding that he loves the representation they are bringing to The Circle. Manrika added that it's good she's got him in here, as he understands her, adding #AsianPersuasionTakeover. They agreed to be big sister and little brother in The Circle, and Manrika added that she's forming a little team and she likes it. Penny invited Syed to a private chat and Andy was added soon after. His initial thoughts were that if Syed was talking to Penny, it meant she was 'sound', with Syed adding that they could actually be in a 3 way catfish group and none of them know it. Andy said that he wanted to take a chance in the group chat, by hopefully 'giving a little, and getting a lot back' speaking about losing his bowel and 18 years old and hoping the others would open up. Penny said that Andy had been very vulnerable showing this side to them, and she explained that she was a lettings agent and had no kids...Andy said he wasn't convinced, adn thought that she was either someone else or she's not ready to open up yet. Orange Tally also started a chat with Billy, to which Billy knew 'she's trying to get on my good side, but it's fine, I'll take this at face value' and they discussed the inability of Billy being able to cook and tried to build a stronger bond than they had before, with Billy adding that if he had the chance to block Orange or Blue Tally, he would block Blue Tally!
It was revealed thrat both Blue and Orange Tally would be immune from the ratings, but they would still be able to rate the other players from 1st to 6th. Syed admitted that he didn't know where he stood with a lot of people. Penny rated Syed in first place as she felt like he understood her and they are the closest in age. Syed rated Andy in first place as whether he's real or not is a different story, the person behind the profile is somebody he has bonded with and Andy also put Syed in first place saying that 'he's my guy and hopefully I'm his', addng that they could ride this journey together. Some of the other ratings included:
Syed: 2nd Penny, Orange Tally: 2nd Billy, Gemma: 2nd Penny, Andy: 5th Billy and both Gemma and Billy rated eachother 6th as they were the highest influencers on the first day. Andy invited Manrika to a private chat and they hit it off with some brummie banter, with Manrika saying 'I am ready for some brummie banter'. They spoke about the perfect choices of kebab on the grill, and Andy revealed to her that he lost his bowel, and instead of going down the sympathy route, she tried to have casual banter, which went down well with Andy. He added that he got her 'totally wrong', but was over the moon with the chat!
After the adverts, we got to see a snippet of 'Circle's Got Talent' with Manrika able to get a chocolate digestive biscuit from her forehead into her mouth, and Vithun sang a lovely rendition of Dua Lipa's newest single 'Hallucinate'. The ratings were complete and Syed said 'we are finally going to find out', Manrika's only words were 'oh my God' and Billy was filled with excitement, saying 'let's go circle, I'm excited!'
6th: Gemma and Billy, which Gemma thought must have involved some tactical voting as they were first and second last time.
5th: Manrika, who admitted that I 'need people I like to be at the top'
4th: Penny, with Manrika adding 'thank God she's not at the top'
3rd: Vithun which left both Andy and Syed as the influencers. 2nd: Andy, 1st: Syed!
Vithun admitted that there was a 20% chance he could be evicted from the game, and Penny said 'it could be us' as father and daughter Jamie and Millie were also potentially at risk of being blocked from The Circle. Syed explained that his best strategy with Andy was to make sure they catch and eliminate a catfish. Andy added that although he doesn't even know Syed, he has 'real warmth for him'. Andy stated that Vithun seemed totally genuine and explained that his two biggest question marks were Penny and Billy, and although he likes Billy, he doesn't know much about him and he also doesn't give much away. Syed added that he has 'not had the opportunity to speak with Billy' but then he would also feel bad if this 47 year old woman (a.k.a Penny) is real, but said her bio and picture is his main suspicion. Syed also explained that Manrika seems to be a threat and that he felt nervous around her, with Andy adding he wanted to block Manrika straightaway, until he had a chat with her today...and that's when Syed realised that Manrika wouldn't be a potential option to block! Who stays who goes? We'll find out in Episode 4 of The Circle UK Series 3!
