Episode 2 of The Circle! At the beginning of the episode we found out that Yolanda still hadn't made her decision of who she was going to clone, with her initial thoughts being 'this is gonna be hard' adding that it was 'proper madness'. Syed stated that he didn't want to go through that kind of tension again and Manrika was surprised that somebody's already been blocked from The Circle. Yolanda who previously played the game as 'Chris', explained that in the boys chat, Andy seemed quite laid back and she wasn't sure she would be able to clone Manrika as she knows nothing about the midlands. Gemma admitted that she needed to bond with more people, including some of the girls. Yolanda continued her analysis stating that it might be easier playing Billy, as he could be anything, Penny would also be easy to close, Tally hasn't let too much out about herself and she might be able to build on it and Syed has already earned respect from the other players. She added that Chris is out of The Circle...and Tally stated that she needs to remember that this is a competition and she can't 'just be here to make friends'. Yolanda added that 'today is another chance at smashing The Circle' and it was over to The Circle to play the video that she left for the other players after being blocked from the game. Gemma and Andy both hoped that Chris was a catfish, and after the video was revealed, most of the other players were shocked, and Gemma added 'people will hopefully align with Gemma', especially after she had blocked a catfish and not a real player!
Billy decided to invite Vithun to a private chat to discuss the recent blocking of Chris, and also to discuss what they were both having for breakfast, as Billy didn't know how to turn on the oven and Vithun was unsure how to use the toaster...but he decided to put his fingers into the toaster which also wasn't a good idea. At least that's something they can both bond on...Yolanda was asked by The Circle to decide who she wanted to clone, and she decided to choose Tally, adding that she was 'gonna bring all the thunder to The Circle. To make things easier, Yolanda became 'Orange Tally' and the original player called Tally became 'Blue Tally'. To help Yolanda get into the character of Tally, there was a gift waiting outside her door, to which she replied 'what's in the black box?'...and the answer? A written guide to being a medical receptionist! Penny a.k.a father and daughter Jamie & Millie decided to start a group chat with Syed a.k.a Hashu and Manrika, as Syed is 'age appropriate' and Manrika is 'not too intimidating'. Manrika added that this was a 'strange combination here' and added 'Penny I think you're a catfish, but I'm gonna lick a bit of as*. Syed asked both the girls about their favourite curries...but realised that he didn't prepare any recipes, if they ever decided to ask him how to make one!
The players were then involved in a game called 'Ice Breaker' which involved answering a series of statements with 'Agree' or 'Disagree'. Manrika stated that she should try to go with the majority and Billy added that he needs to make sure his eyes were peeled. Yolanda a.k.a Orange Tally will also watch the game to find out more information about Tally! The first statement was whether ketchup belongs in the fridge. Andy replied 'we shouldn't but we do', Gemma said yes and Tally said that if you keep your ketchup in the cupboard, you're a psychopath. Only Manrika and Syed said that they didn't put theirs in the fridge! The next statement was whether they could lick their elbow to which everyone disagreed apart from Gemma! The final statement was that 'people who don't love animals shouldn't be trusted' with everyone agreeing to the statement apart from Vithun. Yolanda said that it was clear that Tally was animal obsessed, which meant that she loved everything Yolanda didn't. Tally put in the group chat that she would cuddle a cow if she could, and Yolanda mimicked that saying 'I would cuddle a cow too Tally!'. After the game was played, The Circle showed an alert with a 'critical update - do not turn off The Circle' and that's when the other players noticed a 2nd Tally appear! Her initial reaction as 'why is there two of me?' with Yolanda saying that 'Tally's head must be running at like 100mph'. Tally also said 'I don't think this is good...' and Vithun thought that the 2nd Tally was Yolanda, that's come back as a new player! Manrika added that 'I'm so nervous I feel like a bit of wee is gonna come out' and Syed being the comedic old man he is said 'what are they twins'. Andy admitted that he didn't think Blue Tally was the 'OG Tally'...
Both Blue Tally and Orange Tally wanted to start a private chat with Manrika and she said that 'my heart's with Blue Tally at the moment, so she declined the private chat with Orange Tally. During her chat with Blue Tally, she tried to convince Manrika that it was her, adding the hashtag #GeezerGirlsOfTheCircle. Orange Tally decided to have a conversation with Vithin, who tested her immediately asking if she remembered the animal he said he would be on the first day...at first, Yolanda didn't remember and after reminding her, she was thankful that she didn't get caught out too quickly! Gemma also decided to create a group chat with the girls, which included Manrika, Penny and both Blue Tally and Orange Tally! Gemma asked if Tally had any tattoos, with Blue Tally replying that she had 3, describing them all...and Orange Tally seeming to follow suit. Tally added that it was a really good question for Penny to ask about star signs, admitting she was an Aries, and she was both sensitive and loyal. She added 'I'm a vegetarian and beef still finds me!'.
Syed started a private chat with Andy, naming it 'Daddies Chat' as they are both father's outside of The Circle. They both discussed Blue Tally and whether she seemed real or not, with Syed saying she came across as more real, and Andy stating that Blue Tally seemed to have more opinions to the OG who played it quite safe. After their chat, Syed said he managed to do 'a lot of groundwork' and tried to make the character of Syed a lot more believable. The final part of the show saw all of the players attending the 'Circle Partt' with Manrika stating 'who doesn't love a party?'. Both Blue Tally and Orange Tally were asked questions, such as their biggest party tricks, after Gemma had revealed she could crush a watermelon between her thighs! Blue Tally revealed that she achieved an A* in GCSE Dance and an A at A Level so was really for a dance off, and Andy admitted that the night escalated quickly. At the end of the episode, we found out that Blue Tally wanted to have it out with the player who was pretending to be her, so invited Orange Tally to a private chat! Will Yolanda accept or decline? Let's find out in tomorrow's episode!
