Hey everyone!
Another day another film review (and very few other posts... but I'm trying) - but I watched the latest film from the Saw series called Saw X as I wasn't sure what to expect. As per usual, Mr John Kramer is the mind behind all of the games and the story being told in this film was actually quite interesting. In short, John Kramer had been told he wouldn't have long to live due to his cancer, and he managed to find Ms Petersen who had a supposed cure. It turned out that her and her little team were undercover fradusters and in fact made people believe that the cure actually worked, when in fact it was just a strange operation / non operation, and she would keep all the profits. To make it seem more believable, one of the 'patients' also explained to John that he would be okay and that he would be able to get through the treatment and feel better afterwards.
Throughout the film there were various games and tests which made John question the truthfulness around some of the characters, and they ended up playing their games and not surviving as their tests to stay alive were too difficult to complete. In the end, we see the tables turn and Mr John Kramer became part of his own game, but it was a trick as he and Amanda (from a previous series) were able to use their backup plan, and the true fraudsters were left battling against eachother for survival and locked in a room filled with gas.
I always love the Saw films and I am glad I saw this one within a few weeks of its release - would love to be in a future Saw film just because they look very fun to film and I'm sure the cast are treated well, but another great watch and a lot of twists and turns to help me keep up with different stories at the same time.
