Hey everyone! Week 4 of Love Island. Here's my weekly review!
Sunday 18th July
The beginning of Week 4 in the Love Island villa! In the re-coupling we found out that the new couples were Hugo & AJ, Danny & Lucinda, Aaron & Kaz, Jake & Liberty, leaving Chloe, Sharon and Faye vulnerable, and closer to being evicted from the villa. Toby coupled up with Chloe, and Teddy decided to choose Faye, sending Sharon home! Faye explained that Sharon was the backbone of the villa and Hugo added that she was his closest friend. Faye explained to Teddy that she was incredibly emotional after Sharon's departure and Hugo explained to AJ that he was genuinely shocked that she decided to couple up with him and asked her to ignore his body language, as he had just been close with Sharon since the beginning of their time in the villa.
Aaron pulled Lucinda for a chat and wanted to know where her head was at following the re-coupling, and they moved to sit on the bean bags as Lucinda realised that Danny was listening into their conversation. After a bit of flirting, Aaron admitted that he could have easily gone in to try and kiss Lucinda and she swerved his attemped kiss...awkward, but brave! She said 'you've got a naughty side to you!' Danny and Jake spoke about the attempt of Aaron trying to get to know Lucinda, stating that it was his night, as he had been in the villa for less than 24 hours. Danny pulled Aaron for a chat and explained that he had 'no loyalties' to him, but explained that there is a time and a place to get to know somebody, but tonight wasn't the night. During the evening, Danny slept in Lucinda's section of the bed, to ensure that Aaron couldn't talk to her during the night. Danny spoke to Lucinda and explained that he is looking for somebody similar to him, and somebody that isn't boring.
The Islanders were then involved in a game called 'Cat-titude' which saw the girls dress up as cats and the boys as mice! The girls had to each dive into a bowl of milk, dance around a pole and then pin their coupled boy into a massive mousetrap. Faye explained that she had PTSD from the poles, as she has previously twisted her ankle on one of them in the past. During Aaron & Kaz's naughty performance, they ended up snogging, to which she said 'friends can kiss right?'. We also saw a glimpse of a random black cat walking around the villa, before Hugo proposed a toast 'to mates, memories and making moves!'. He also explained to the boys that there was something with AJ he 'couldn't get my finger on'.
Whilst Lucinda and Chloe were having a chat, Danny came over to speak to Lucinda. Chloe decided to leave the area, and he asked whether Lucinda wanted to get to know him properly or if he was wasting his time trying to get her attention. He explained that he was happy to get to know some of the other girls, she just needed to explain to him where her head was at. Lucinda explained she was interested in both him and Aaron and hadn't made up her mind as of yet. She then had a private conversation with Aaron to explain that she had just been in an awkward conversation with Danny, adding that he said his worst fear was getting 'mugged off'
Monday 19th July
In this episode we saw Aaron, Hugo and Teddy speaking about how Aaron wanted to get to know Lucinda a bit better, and explained that Danny didn't want to get 'mugged off'. Aaron added that he likes a challenge. AJ & Hugo spoke about what their common interests were and Chloe explained that Hugo had to be open minded if they wanted to see if anything was going to work out between them. Hugo explained that he was on the backseat and that AJ was very forward. Toby & Chloe were given the night in The Hideaway and the boys joked that he should wear his cowboy hat, with Chloe explaining to the girls that she was feeling naughty! Jake & Liberty agreed that going into The Hideaway does bring you closer and the morning after, Chloe said that it was so much nicer to wake up in there, than the main bedroom! Toby said that it didn't feel like friend island for Hugo anymore as he was making his morning coffee for AJ, and Chloe explained to Millie and Lucinda that it was very hot in temperature in The Hideaway with Toby, especially because they were covered in chocolate oil. Lucinda explained to the girls that she was going to finalise her decision today as to whether she wanted to get to know Danny or Aaron better. Chloe made Lucinda feel a little at ease by explaining that she's snogged Aaron, and he's a really good kisser. Danny, Jake and Liam discussed Lucinda's personality throughout her time in the villa, with Danny adding that she isn't flirty and doesn't seem to have a fun side.
The Islanders were then involved in a game called 'Snog, Marry, Pie' where they kissed the Islander they fancied the most, proposed with a ring to the Islander they wanted to marry, and pied the Islander that they wanted to pie...simple. So below will be a written summary of the challenge!

Aaron & Lucinda spoke after the challenge and they thought that the challenge went very well. She added that she thinks that Danny was a 'bit of an idiot'. Danny & Lucinda were then in a private chat and she explained that she didn't understand his reasoning in the challenge. Danny explained that he got jealous of Lucinda kissing Aaron, so wanted to make her jealous by snogging AJ. Lucinda explained that it was probably best for them just to be friends and ended the potential relationship between the two of them. Danny quickly moved onto having a chat with AJ and explained that the reason he kissed her in the challenge is because he wanted to get to know her, adding that that 'weight for lifted off our shoulders' meaning that they could get to know eachother. He asked whether he was making her head turn and after a little bit of giggling they snogged. Aaron & Lucinda had one final chat before the episode finished and Aaron explained that he was with Sharon for a day, just like Lucinda was with Brad, and she added that 'good things come to those who wait'.
Tuesday 20th July
At the beginning of this episode, Toby asked by both Kaz and Liberty pied him in the challenge earlier on in the week and Kaz explained that she wasn't happy because he actually 'pied her' in terms of getting to know Chloe behind her back. She asked him 'Do I feel like you chould have treated me better? Yes...' and Liberty explained that she pied Toby because he pied her as well! Kaz and Faye had a little chat about the situation, with Kaz saying that Toby didn't feel like what he did was disrespectful and that he showed no remorse for his actions. Toby had a chat with some of the other boys, including Teddy who explained that Kaz might have felt like she was 'cheated on' after he got to know Chloe. Toby decided to pull Liberty away from Jake in order to have a chat about what she thought about the whole situation. Liberty explained that she wasn't happy with Toby's actions and decided to stick up for her girl. She added that it felt like Toby was 'kicking somebody when they're down'. Teddy also spoke to Faye about the situation and explained that he didn't think it was right for her to be shouting across the villa at Toby, when instead she could have just had a private chat with him.
Danny and Aaron had a private lads chat and Danny explained that AJ is so easy to talk to, but he's now joined a love triangle with Hugo. Liberty and the other girls were all sitting on the terrace speaking about the guys they're currently couled up with and whether they had 'done bits', with the scale relating to NVQ's...the lower the number the less action in bed (Wow, I can't believe I even needed to explain that!). Liberty revealed that she was at NVQ 2 with Jake and after the girls began screaming in excitement, she said 'Here's you guys thinking that was the first time...' hinting that they had been naughty in the bedroom previously. Danny, Kaz and Faye were all trying to name as many Oceans as they could, before Teddy & Faye received a message that explained they would be going on their first proper date outside of the villa! Their date began with a bike ride in the middle of nowhere, and it was quite unsurprising to see Faye fall off her bike within the first few seconds. During their ride, she asked Teddy whether he was enjoying their journey on 'the tour de Faye' to which he seemed to be impressed with! Teddy & Faye then headed to a romantic dinner for two outside a Chapel, and Faye explained that she probably would have pied him off back at home and Teddy asked her not to mention anything about his bad cycling.
Aaron prepared Toby so that he could pull Kaz for a chat, but she replied 'can we chat later' which almost gave Toby the hint that she was no longer interested or was planning on making him chance her. Teddy explained to Faye that he's 'chosen the right girl on this journey, and it's heading in the right direction'. The Islanders were then treated to a 70's themed party which saw them all dress up in colourful and stripey outfits before heading down to the main location in the villa for drinks! Toby explained to Kaz that he wanted to say sorry, and Aaron explained to some of the others that he had 'trained him well'. Hugo & AJ went for a chat and he explained that he went for an Austin Powers look with his bright orange top and yellow shorts, but pretty much friendzoned AJ. AJ was slightly shocked that Hugo was suggesting that she should get to know Danny more. Danny & AJ had a quick chat following her conversation with Hugo, and she explained that she shouldn't be doing all the grafting. She added that she is a very affectionate person and Danny asked whether she was interested in pursuing him. In the mean time, the public had been voting for their favourite male and female islanders, and the lowest rated girls were Lucinda, Chloe and AJ and the lowest rated boys were Teddy, Danny and Toby and we found out that one boy and one girl would be dumped from the villa in the next episode.
Wednesday 21st July
I think this was the most difficult episode to watch, as the dumping was going to be brutal, whoever was to leave the villa. Liberty, Millie, Kaz and Faye all decided to dump Danny from the villa, and Aaron, Liam, Jake and Hugo decided to dump AJ from the villa. Kaz explained that AJ had made her days a little bit brighter and Chloe explained to Millie that it was her second time being the public's least favourite...once as a couple with Toby and now on her own. Faye, Liberty, Jake and Toby were all sitting at the firepit discussing the most recent dumping and Liberty said 'I love you, but you're giving me the ick', allowing the L word to slip out for the first time in the series. Hugo, Aaron and Liam spoke about how Liam & Millie are getting on really well at the moment and Hugo explained to Kaz that their time will come and there's a reason they're both still in the villa. We found out that three new Islanders were about to enter the villa; Tyler, Abigail and Georgia.
During their introductions, Tyler and Faye bonded over the fact that they are both estate agents, and he said that he likes cute girls. Georgia explained that she likes somebody that's Italian and good looking or that gives her Australian surfer vibes, adding the sentence 'Hugo, you're the one'. Liberty explained to Kaz that she was hoping it was 'all guns blazing' for her, now that a new guy has entered the villa and Kaz explained that although she's not usually into grafting, she's going to graft as much as she can. Faye admitted that she really liked Georgia so far, adding that she's a stunning girl and hasn't had any other cosmetic sugeries other than a mouth brace, but that doesn't really count. Abigail, Hugo, Lucinda and Jake were all discussing Georgias previous dating history, with Abigail admiting that it's been over a year since her last relationship and Georgia explaining that she's still friends with some of her ex-boyfriend. She said that her celebrity crushes include Chris Brown and Zac Efron, and she likes funny boys.
Liberty & Tyler had a quick chat after he had arrived in the villa and he explained again that he liked cute girls with good personalities. Kaz walked over and explained that he was her perfect type, with Liberty adding that she was sexy, sassy and hard to handle'. Kaz jokingly said to Liberty 'I love you, but can you leave this conversation' allowing her to get to know Tyler privately. He explained that he eventually wanted to start his own law firm and in the mean time he's looking for a Mrs. Aaron & Lucinda had a chat regarding their new coupled up status (well, coupled up for the second time, but this time it seems official!) and Lucinda asked him what he thought of the new Islanders, asking whether Abigail was a 'bit of him'. Aaron suggested that they should spend a night on the daybed and enjoy cuddles together. Abigail spoke to Georgia and explained that she wanted to 'f*ck sh*t up', adding that she wasn't asking for a big test. The girls continued to discuss their NVQ levels in terms of sexual activity and the boys quizzed Tyler on what he wanted, adding that he wants somebody that wants to get to know him.
Georgia, Abigail and Tyler, known as the 'triple threat' were discussing their plans whilst in the villa, with Tyler admitting he wanted to get to know Kaz and Georgia's eyes being set on Hugo. Abigail explained that she liked Toby a lot more, purely because of his star sign and she added that she wished he was 23 and not just turned 22. Toby pulled Abigail for a private chat and he explained to her that he's a footballer and open to getting to know the new girl, adding that he 'needs vibes', somebody with confidence and somebody that enjoys pillowtalk. Hugo was pulled for a chat by Georgia who said she wanted to get to know him. He was quite surprised but happy that she was interested in him, adding that she has been single for the last 5 years. Tyler & Kaz had another private chat, with Tyler admitting that he as nervous to come in, but happy he was walking in with the two other girls. Kaz explained that Tyler was 'the type of guy' she goes for, so let's see what happens between the two of them next. Toby tried to pull Chloe for a chat on the swing, but she insisted they spoke at the firepit, with Chloe adding 'It won't be long'. She was disappointed in Toby that they hadn't spoken all morning, and she explained that it would have been nice if Toby was there more, asking her how she's doing or if she wants a drink, but not sure if it was to do with his age or that he hadn't been with a girl before that was making him act a little strange. Chloe, Lucinda, Millie, Faye and Liberty were all discussing the situation, with Liberty asking whether it was a kiss and makeup thing or whether there needed to be more chats to resolve the issue. Jake said that Liberty would have wanted to hear from the person that means the most to her, and she probably would have also been upset, especially if he had ignored her.
Thursday 22nd July
At the beginning of this epsiode we saw Liam, Jake and Chloe having a chat about her situation with Toby, which she explained that she doesn't like chasing and was confused why Toby thought that she did. Toby had a private chat with Abigail and she asked him whether he was 'scared of a little bit of trouble' and she further asked if Toby was open to getting to know her. He explained that he didn't know where his head was at, but said that it would be a good idea for him to have a chat with Chloe to see what she was feeling about the whole situation. After the chat, Toby walked over to Aaron & Kaz who seemed to be giggling about what was happening, but unsure it was nervous laughter or if they were genuinely giggling at Toby. Abigail explained to some of the other girls that it was a bit strong for Chloe to be upset with her, because she's the one that got with Toby, under Kaz's nose! Faye explained to Chloe that she needed to have a chat with Toby, but not to mention anything about Abigail, and just to be sexy and sassy. Abigail said to Toby that he might not even like her, but obviously people don't know if they don't try. Tyler & Kaz had a private chat and he explained that he wears his heart on his sleeve, and whilst on the terrace, she asked him to help re-position her earrings...which led to a snog on the terrace.
Toby & Chloe had their first proper chat since Abigail had entered the villa and been involved in their little trianle of love, and they had a chat which Iain Stirling titled 'Relationships - A beginner's Guide'. Chloe explained that it was annoying being disrespected, with Toby confused as to what that comment was trying to suggest about him. She added that it would have been nice for him to explain earlier that he had potential feelings for Abigail. Some of the girls were having their own chat about the situation, including Faye and Lucinda, and Toby explained to Chloe that he didn't think he disrespected her, even after linking arms with Abigail who just needed help walking in her high heels. Teddy explained that Chloe was in a very different position to Toby, which is why she was a little more stressed out about not knowing where Toby's head was at. Abigail Faye and Liberty had another girls chat and they explained that they didn't want Abigail to feel awkward, and the drama was for Toby & Chloe to sort out. Abigail pulled Chloe for a chat and Abigail explained that Toby linked arms with her just to help her walk down the stairs, and Chloe explained that she wasn't interested in what Abigail was saying about the situation but wanted to remain civil with her, and that her problem was with Toby.
Kaz told Liberty about her snog with Tyler on the terrace, and after Toby pulled Chloe for a chat, she explained that she didn't have anything to say which Toby questioned straightaway, asking 'you don't have anything to say at all?'. He further explained that this situation with Abigail would either make them or break them, and at the moment it seemed as if it was breaking them up. The following morning, Toby tried to avoid some of Abigail's traps about him making a drink for her, whispering the words 'traps traps traps' whilst he was walking back to the bedroom. Lucinda explained to Chloe that life was too short at the end of the day and wondered why Toby didn't seem to have a stop button. Chloe explained to Hugo that she did have feelings for Toby, but she didn't want to pull him for a chat as she wasn't happy with the ay he was acting at the moment. Tyler & Georgia also had a chat by the pool, with Georgia explaining that her chat with Hugo didn't go as expected and it gave her the impression that Hugo was not into her as much as she was into him. Chloe also said to Hugo that they've already 'been there done that' in terms of snogging, and they might as well do it again...but was she speaking about Toby...or Hugo?
Toby & Chloe had another chat (not really surprised at this point!) and they both agreed that they were bad at communicating their feelings with eachother. Chloe explained to Toby that if he was open to getting to know the new girl Abigail, then their current relationship would be over, putting him under immense pressure to make a decision there and then. After Toby explained that he didn't really know what he wanted, Chloe said 'you should know what you want'. Liberty and Kaz had another catch-up regarding her new man Tyler, and Liberty added that he was definitely Kaz's type, adding that he was funny, kind and manly. Hugo explained to Georgia that there wasn't an initial spark in their first chat and Toby admitted to Abigail that he was stepping back from all of the Chloe drama and that he wanted to have fun again. He added that 'the heat is too much' and he wanted to start getting to know Abigail. She explained to him that the last thing she wanted to do, was to put pressure on him, and after receiving a text about a re-coupling, all of the girls (who were wearing pink as part of their colour coordinations) had to stand by the fire pit.
In the re-couplings, the following couples were Aaron & Lucinda, Liam & Millie, Teddy & Faye, Jake & Liberty and Tyler & Kaz. Toby explained that this re-coupling was the most difficult decision he had to make since being in the villa and that he wanted to live with no regrets, only lessons, and chose to couple up with Abigail. Hugo was the final boy to choose who to couple up with, out of Chloe and Georgia...two people he had only being friendly with. He explained that some of this 'test stuff' is b*llshit, and explained that he felt like the girl he was going to couple up with was made to feel very small after standing up at the fire pit, and chose Chloe, meaning that new girl Georgia's time in the villa was cut very short. Lucinda explained to Hugo that he said it exactly how it is, and Toby, Jake and Faye didn't seem impressed with Hugo's speech at all...so you can naturally see the villa starting to split in half. Faye said to Toby that he was probably jealous that Toby could pick between two girls and that Hugo hadn't even been able to get one girl to like him, and Toby said that he wouldn't have wanted to embarress Hugo like that in-front of everyone else, so why did he think it was alright for him to do.
Friday 23rd July
On the evening of Georgia's departure, Hugo did a cheers for everyone to find love, and Toby added 'and cheers to two faced hugs' - which was directed at Hugo for his actions at the fire pit. Hugo explained that he wasn't fake, he was just honest, and Chloe, Lucinda and Millie agreed that Toby was just feeling sorry for himself, adding that Hugo wa the nicest boy in the villa. Lucinda added that Toby seemed to be digging a bigger hold for himself and Faye explained that it would all hopefully be resolved. Hugo explained to Liam and Aaron that he had to choose Chloe because of how small she felt and because of the great friendship they have in the villa, whereas Georgia had only been in the villa for a matter of hours and hadn't really got to know anybody other than Hugo. Aaron explained that he was very proud of Hugo for speaking up. Toby & Abigail had their first chat since being coupled up and he explained that he still had a strong bond with Chloe, with Abigail suggesting he shouldn't take Hugo's comment too personally. Hugo admitted that he wasn't going to take back the comment and fully meant what he said. Hugo and Toby had their first chat with eachother since what happened at the fire pit, and after Hugo tried to explain himself, Toby described him as a 'girl follower', adding that it didn't seem like he cared about the boys. Hugo reminded Toby about the Kaz, Chloe and Abigail situation, reminding him that he tried to advise him on the best way to go about the situation, but was clearly making the same mistakes again. Toby explained he was getting very angry and Hugo walked away (for now)...
Toby tried to pull Chloe for a chat but she explained that she wasn't ready at this moment in time. Instead, she went to speak to Millie and Hugo who were in the dressing room and emotionally stated that she couldn't have asked for anything better from Hugo, espeially after she was made to feel so small during the last re-coupling. Tyler & Kaz were thankful that they weren't in any of the drama, and whilst Toby was thinking about his actions in the bedroom...Chloe walked in, and they had quite an awkward engagement but decided to speak again. During their conversation, Aaron walked past and tried to quickly leave the scene. Toby explained that for the whole day, he was going to pick Chloe and after he tried to explain why his mind changed, Chloe said 'I don't want anything to do with you..you're awful!'. Jake & Liberty had another conversation where Liberty explained that she hadn't 'fallen off the cliff', but that she was instead falling a little bit for Jake, and Hugo suggested to Chloe that she should just go for a nice guy (hinting at her getting to know him probably?). At night time, Abigail asked Toby to kiss her to which he said no, especially after just coming out of something and not wanting to rush into anything new yet.
When the morning came about, Hugo said to Chloe 'cheer up chicken!' and the girls had their morning chat about how Hugo is really nice, and that Aaron & Lucinda in fact hugged in bed. The boys were speaking about the Toby v Hugo situation which they were still unable to agree on, with Toby explaining that 'I don't care about Hugo'...so let's see if they're hanging out togehter at the after party. Liam & Millie had their first date whilst being in the villa, and were treated to an outside picnic under a tree, with shredded paper hanging off the tree behind him! (It was more fancy than that, but I'm not sure what the paper was called...tissue paper maybe?). Before heading to the date, Liam's first all white outfit made him look like a cricketer so he had to change the outfit and ended up wearing a striped shirt with a pair of shorts. They discussed how they had been talking to eachother for about two and a half weeks, which had gone very fast, with Millie adding that she 'didn't realise we were going to have this connection'.
Toby, Teddy, Jake and Tyler were all having a chat on the bed, and Jake asked how he would be able to ask Liberty to be his girlfriend. Back to the date with Liam & Millie (because that's how these shows are shot!), Millie realised that they both lived far away from eachother but the have similar dreams, and would both love to go travelling in the future. She added that her mum and sister would probably think that Liam is hilarious. Liam explained that he's also got either a dog or multiple dogs, and Millie explained that his hoovering skills must be good then. Liam added that he may 'potentially' be falling for her. Jake pulled Kaz for a quick chat and explained to her that he'd spoken to the boys about his earlier plan and wanted Kaz to discreetly ask everyone to wear black and white for the special occassion. During the evening's events, Hugo walked into the girls dressing room with a big smile on his face, with Liberty questioning his actuons asking 'why is there a big grin on your face?' before following him outside to where Jake was sitting down at the outside bar. All of the Islanders were involved with the delivery of the night, including Hugo and Liam who not only provided entertainment but also drinks, spaghetti bolognaise and last but not least, dessert, delivered by Teddy & Faye. Liberty explained that she didn't know what love was until she met Jake, and they had lots of kisses and giggles, before Jake popped the big question of whether she wanted to be his girlfriend. Tyler & Kaz were the final part of the proposal night, bringing over a magnetic bracelet to each of them, and Jake explaining that he had fpound 'the one'. He explained that one person in the couple would have one bracelet, and they would be able to connect to the other. In the end, she said yes, Faye was recording the whole event so they could look back and reminisce on these good times, after their time in the villa came to an end...and we found out that Casa Amor was round the corner!
