Hello! It's the first night of the LIVE shows...but unfortunately Jade from Little Mix is having to self isolate so she'll be joining the girls through a video call! The 6 bands now battle it out head - to - head to stay in the competition! So, just a quick reminder of who the bands are:
The Boy Band, The Mixed Band, The Vocal + Instrument Group, The Girl Vocal Band, The Girl Dance Group and the Rap R&B Band!
The show began with a live performance from the Little Mix girls, performing their newest single 'Sweet Melody' which will be on their soon-to-be released album 'Confetti', their 6th studio album! (Unfortunately Jade wasn't there, so it was just Perrie, Jesy and Leigh Anne!).
Chris Ramsay was the host of the first of the live shows, and before the show got on the way, the group names were revealed. So, here are the band names!
New Priority - Boy Band (@newpriorityband)

Since September - Vocal + Instrumental Band (@sinceseptemberband)
YChange - Rap & R&B Group (@ychangeband)
Jasper Blue - Mixed Band (@jasperblueband)

The first of the six bands to perform were 'Since September', the Vocal + Instrumental Band; performing Taylor Swift's song 'I Knew You Were Trouble'. Leigh-Anne said that the performance made her really emotional, Perrie admitted that when they put together, she knew they were something special. Jesy added that the performance was great, and that she thought there was a guitar riff in the background, but in fact it was Jacob's voice! I really liked the colour red as it was the vocal point of their performance and they definitely have a great sound!

Up next was the girl vocal group 'Nostalia'! Beginning their performance, they were all shown in their individual compartments which then lit up with colour. Being a member down as Mya-Louise couldn't perform for personal reasons, they had to work even harder to ensure that they brought the performance to secure their place in next week's live shows! It was the first very colourful performance of the night and it was well put together! They're like a mini Little Mix, but don't worry, I'm sure they don't need to compete with eachother! Perrie said that they are the best vocalists of the competition, and that Tamara was a little over-shadowed by the other girls, but they all sounded great! Jade added that the vocals are probably some of the best they have heard...and then she almost fell off her chair!

The third group to perform were the Boy Band a.k.a 'New Priority'! Performing The Weeknd's single 'Feel My Face' there were LOTS of lasers used...my sincerest apologies to whoever has to pay for the electricity for this performance, but it was great! Jesy said the vocals and tha rap were there, but there was something missing from the performance as the attention was all on Zeekay! Jade replied and said 'JESY NELSON, WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO?!!' and admitted that their performance was great. Perrie compared them to a 'guest performance' on the show and she also loved it!

The next group to perform was the Mixed Band 'Jasper Blue'. Before they even performed, they gave me similar group vibes to that of 'Only The Young' - a group from The X Factor UK! Their vocals sounded pretty good together, but personally I think Liam would be better off as a solo artist...but that's just my personal opinion! They performed 'Just Got Paid' by Sigala, Meghan Trainor & Ella Eyre! Jade said that they looked really happy to be on stage and that made her happy...but she admitted some of the vocals were a little off, until they stepped away from their microphones. Leigh Anne added that they seem to be some of the hardest working individuals backstage, with Perrie adding some of the microphone uses need to be changed a little *cough cough* Rosie!!

The bottom two bands after the first performances will battle it out head to head, and then the girls will decide who stays and who goes! Anyways, back to the performances!
'YChange', the Rap & R&B band were up next to fight for their place in the top 5 bands! Set in a black and white room, they emerged onto the stage with their mixture of rapping and singing blending together really well! Eden 'came through' with the vocals according to Jesy, and so far, she admitted they were her favourite act of the night! Jade added that she can see they all give eachother their individual time to shine, and if they released that cover on Spotify, it would 'do some really good things'!

The final group to perform were 'Melladaze', the Girl Dance Group..who also sing! They came to stay not to play'...That's a catchphrase that I won't forget anytime soon! Taking on the Jonas Brothers with a cover of 'Sucker', they were they pretty girls in pink who went back a few years as their staging was set at a school! Perrie admitted that when they got to their final verses, it seemed that they were running out of stamina, so she told them to run on treadmills and sing to Beyonce which is what she does! Jesy said that for a first performance they did really well, as they had a lot more to do...being the dance group! It's over to the girls to give their final scores. Who's going to be in the bottom two? The Boy Band or the Girl Dance Group???

Then there was a special performance of 'I Miss You' by Jax Jones and AU/RA
After all the performances, it was down to the two lowest voted groups to battle it for the final place in the competition. It was 'Jasper Blue' the Mixed Band against 'Melladaze' the Girl Dance Group and only ONE space was left in the competition.
It was then over to the girls to decide who stays and who goes. The girls had a short time to decide who they wanted to keep in the competition. They admitted that the sing off was very difficult but they could see both bands wanted to stay:
Jade decided that the band she wanted to save was MELLADAZE!
Leigh Anne voted for MELLADAZE!
Perrie voted for MELLADAZE!
Although the girls already got three votes, Jesy would have also voted for MELLADAZE!
