Hello! Welcome to another one of my summary blog posts. This one is all about the four fabulous girls Leigh-Anne, Jesy, Jade and Perrie, otherwise known as Little Mix who won the British version of The X Factor back in 2011 (beating the runner up Marcus Collins). They were the first group to win the show; (and also the first female group to get past week 2 of the live shows!).
Now, they are the judges for a NEW show called 'Little Mix The Search' hosted by Chris Ramsey! The live shows are due to take place soon, but obviously it makes sense to show all of the auditions first so that we can see who the lucky individuals are that have made it to that final stage!
The first episode was aired on the 26th September 2020, so, without further ado, what's happened so far??
The first person to come and audition was 'Adam the Electrician'...who often gets told to stop singing by his co-workers. With his blue jeans and black top, let's see if he's got a voice as well as a great look!
With a lovely rendition of Lewis Capaldi's 'Hold Me While You Wait', it seemed like all of the girls enjoyed the performance (as did me whilst sitting in my bedroom!) Adam got 4 'Yes!' and became the first person to make the Band Room...
'Lee the Labourer' As a daytime labourer and weekend singer, his vocals were pretty decent and Jesy said that she loved him after he'd sang for not even 5 seconds.
'Kaci the Family Man'...that can dance, but can't dance, but can dance...
With his all blue onesie, he brought the hyperman set and also sang a rap verse of his own which the girls loved, and he sort of could dance but couldn't dance, but he did a few cool dance moves! Jade called him 'cheeky' and 'confident', not cocky...but at only 16, how well will he do in the competition?
'Santino the Italian Star' (who loves a raised stage and knickers thrown in his face)...
With a rendition of Maroon 5's 'Memories', he managed to get the girls singing along - with a 'lazy chilled vibe' according to Jade (who he's got a massive crush on!). The falcetto paid off according to Jesy, but after 2 'No's' from Leigh-Anne and Perrie, he was eliminated from the competition!
'Jacob the Junior' (with a bright blue jumper which I probably won't be able to forget!)
According to Jesy, he was a little too 'sweet' for the type of band that they wanted to create, and he also didn't get enough 'Yes's to get through!
'Mason the Motorpoint Arena Macho'
Although he had a One Direction vibe, he also got a No from the girls...
'Elliott the Entertainer' (who wants to be the most famous person from Oldham)...
Another One Direction fan, so another One Direction song (and hopefully it wasn't too awkward for Perrie!)...but with his cover of 'Night Changes' it seemed like the boys in the band room and also the girls, enjoyed the performance! So, he looks great, sounds great, he's been on Coronation Street, he's an actor and he's also got a great voice...It would have been a Yes from me if I was a judge on the show!
'Talis the Welsh Tank'
Covering a song by Shawn Mendes is usually quite a difficult task to pull off, so once the music started I was a bit like 'Omg', but he sounded good! With a deep, husky voice compared to some of the other boys, it helps his voice stand out from the others!
Other boys that performed for the judges included:
'Mitchell' (who got a Yes), 'Daniel' (who got a No)...,'Kevin' (who got a Yes)
'Adam' (who got a No), 'Tyrese' (who got a Yes), 'Tate' (who got a Yes)...
'Zeekay...Are you Okay?'
After meeting Stormzy back in Year 8 and getting feedback on one of his original songs, he showed off his rapping, singing and dancing skills! With his cover of 'Can't Hold Us' by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, he got all the girls off their feet and I think he did a great job! Perrie said she has an idea which type of boyband she would be able to see him in, so it was an easy Yes from her, along with the others!
All 10 of the guys that made the band room were then sent to rehearsals to perform in different sub groups to see which of the boys sound well together! According to the girls, Tate seemed a little stand offish, Kaci seemed humble, Mitchell didn't look right with some of the other boys, Lee and Adam sound strong on the melodies, Elliott was a little bit out of rhythm...and it was then over to the girls who they were going to unfortunate lose from the category!
It was Kevin, Tyrese & Mitchell who were sent home, with the other 7 battling it out to see who will make the final band! The final 7 took to a live performance infront of a selected crowd of Little Mix fans, and then only a maximum of 5 were to make the final band!
The top 5 boys who made the first boyband were;
Talis, Lee, Zeekay, Adam & Kaci
(which meant Tate & Elliott were also eliminated from the process!)
