Hey everyone!
For today's blog post, I'll be summarising the best (or funniest) parts of I'm A Celebrity 2022 with the 10 new famous famous that have currently entered the jungle in Australia, after 3 years of being in Wales due to the COVID-19 restrictions!
Sunday 6th November 2022
The first 5 celebrities that we saw enter a glamorous villa were radio presenter Chris Moyles who was quite surprised that he was the first celebrity in the venue. He was shortly followed by Love Island star Olivia Attwood, ITV news anchor and television presenter Charlene White, women's footballer Jill Scott and comedian Babatunde Aleshe. They were told that the public had chosen Olivia to become the 'VIP' (which in this case, the celebrities didn't know meant being referred to as a 'Very Isolated Person') and she chose to share her VIP status with Chris. They both shared a plate of prawns, and it was Charlene, Babatunde and Jill who were off to do their first task before entering the jungle. In order to win 3 stars for camp, they each had to walk to the end of a platform high in the sky and then leg go of the safety rope which would make them float in mid-air and secure them the stars. Jill and Charlene were able to grab one star each, but Babatunde was unable to complete the task. Chris & Olivia received a letter that they had to jump out of a plane from 10,000 feet and were then deserted on an island until further notice.
The second batch of celebrities include legend and pop sensation Boy George, Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver, Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, property expert Scarlette Douglas and ex-professional rugby player Mike Tindall. Again, the public chose Boy as the VIP, and he chose Scarlette to join him for a plate of prawns on a fancy yacht. Sue, Owen and Mike also took on their first challenge whilst boating down the canal. They each had to complete a mini task to win another 3 stars for camp; it involved Mike having to crawl under an overturned bote and decode a 4 digit combination from the letters 'MAUD' written on the side of the boat, Sue had her hands in cockroaches and maggots to find a number of eyes which also gave a combination, and Owen crawled into a sewage tunnel using allen keys to find a brick with the winning code 0463, to which Owen said 'The year Mike was born'. They won the total of 3 stars. All 6 of the non-VIP's were then able to meet eachother in the main camp (Charlene, Babatunde, Jill, Sue, Mike & Owen), with the VIP's spending the night in a different campsite, with only beans and rice. Mike was the campmate who was able to successfully light the fire, and Babatunde said that he felt the VIP's were acting all smug and now they're alone, and taking on the first task in the morning.

In the second episode, we were told the sad news that Olivia Attwood had to leave the show due to medical reasons and Ant & Dec both sent a message wishing her well. We saw the 6 non VIP's treated to kangeroo bum and purple carrots for dinner, to which Owen stated 'That slaps' and suggested that Sue was to use that as the name of her future restaurant. The VIP's seemed to have a rough night, with Chris explaining that he would probably be breaking wind all night, George was happy with beans and rice for 3 weeks, and Olivia couldn't really complain with the lack of taste as she usually orders a plain meal when she goes to Nandos. Charlene had a little cry through the night after she had to get used to the new surroundings and explained to Sue how she was feeling, including the fact that she's not used to sleeping outside. Owen and Babatunde had their first cold showers in the jungle, and Owen revealed that not only did Mike snore really loudly, but he also managed to shake the entire bunk bed during the night. Once the VIP's left their sleeping area for the first task, George explained that he had his rucksack on one shoulder and a wooden stick to 'make up for the rest of the outfit'.
For the VIP's first bush tucker trial 'HMS Drown Under', 2 of the celebrities had to push their hands in hell holes to unturn clogs, and 2 celebrities had to collect the stars while lying in their lifesized coffins. It was Scarlette and Olivia who decided to put their hands in the hell holes, avoiding creatures including insects, snakes and bearded dragons along the way. After the first minute, Chris explained that he had changed his mind and wanted to go on Love Island instead, and with almost 2 minutes left, both Chris and George's coffins had almost been filled fully with water, with Ant & Dec reminding them both, and Chris replying jokinly that he 'didn't realise'. They all managed to win a total of 8/10 stars which was impressive for a first trial. Back at camp, Mike, Owen and Babatunde were discussing their first dates, with Mike explaining he met his partner Zara whilst in Sydney and their romantic date turned into a 'boozy date', Babatunde remembers taking his high school crush to Nandos for their first date, after commenting on her social media post several years after school...and Owen said he wishes he could relate but doesn't have a story to tell yet.
Chris went on to briefly speak about his weight loss journey and the simple fact that he started drinking less alcohol and went on a better diet, and after climbing Kilimanjaro, he wanted to change his physique. For dinner, Olivia revealed that they had been awarded mud crabs which she wasn't a fan of, and everyone had a bit to eat - apart from George who was happy with his beans, nics and uncooked mushrooms. We found out that the public would be voting for the next challenge 'Horrifying Heights' and that after Olivia had left the jungle, Sue, Owen and Mike were also all exempt from this trial. George spoke to Chris to explain that he wanted to help with dinner, as the mushrooms were uncooked, but realised that he couldn't be selfish as everyone was living together and this was the 'new home' that they all had to share. He explained that Mike and Charlene took a natural lead of cooking to which Chris stated that it's because they were the first campmates to enter, so they would naturally make sure things were under control, adding that they will both fit in. George added 'I don't want to fit in too much!' In the morning, George said some Buddhist prayers to himself and Scarlette revealed her encounter with a large snake the night before, jokingly saying 'Hey snakey' with Babtunde quickly replying by saying; 'that wouldn't have been my reaction' and adding that the whole of Australia would have heard im screaming.
Chris pranked Owen to explain that he was a professional dancer, and then Jill and Mike took it in turns to rap a verse from different songs; Jill took on 'Mysterious Girl' and Mike sang 'Ice Ice Baby' and Boom boom shake the room', getting Charlene on her feet, and Mike getting the nickname of 'Vanilla Mike' by Chris. Jill and Owen were then sent off to complete a Deals on Wheels (previously known as Dingo Dollar) challenge called 'Spaghetti Crossword' where they had to retrieve sentences and make the word on a large scale crossword grid. Owen decided to brave the tomato-like soup to collect the clues, and they managed to correctly answer all the clues; including 'a 9 letter word which is also a popular emoji' and a 'French chicken usually braised in wine'. Jill added that the only French she knew was 'Hi, I'm je m'appelle Jill' (which translates to Hi, I'm my name is Jill)...In order to win the chosen prize of custard creams, the campmates had to correctly answer the first question which asked the largest quantity of three options; planets in the solar system, sides of a nonagon and signs in the zodiac. After much deliberation and Scarlette taking over from Babatunde in the red telephone box, they correctly guessed signs of the zodiac and were awarded 5 custard creams to share between 9. I'll do the maths and that equates to about half a biscuit each. We also saw Ant & Dec enter the jungle for the first time to announce that Babatunde would be taking on the next trial. Tuesday 8th November 2022
In the third episode of I'm A Celebrity, the campmates were treated to Kangaroo sausages and 'lady fingers' for dinner. Charlene seemed to take a natural charge of the kitchen, with Scarlette referring to it as 'Charlene's kitchen' and George explained that she has a controlling side but also a caring side. The following morning showed us clips of the campmates just looking into the sky, and Jill decided to create a football out of the rice bags and string and have a short game of keepy uppy with Owen, whom she had an interest in football with. Charlene, Scarlette and George all addressed Charlene's control in the kitchen, where he explained that sometimes he cannot get involved if there are too many people already helping, and he's happy to do anything, but needs to be told otherwise he will just sit out.
The next part of the show saw Babatunde taking on his first trial of the series. Before leaving camp, Charlene explained that 'fear is a choice' and all of the campmates began chanting 'Baba baba' before he left to go and meet Ant & Dec. Before the challenge had even started, the weather took a turn for the first and it began to rain heavily, but the challenge was for Babatunde to be 250m in the air and walk around two circular platforms to collect a total of 9 stars for camp. He managed to complete all 9, including the final star which required him to do a leap of faith. Afrter he returned back to camp and gave them the good news, Jill and Mike decided to run him a nice warm bath, and Jill also decided to create her own unique drink...banana water (which was the banana peel and hot water)...
The campmates were then set a challenge as the caravan in camp started to flash red, and it told them that 2 of them would be able to sleep in the RV van for the night. There were 3 padlocks that needed to be opened with 3 different sets of keys that were hidden around camp. In the 2nd box, there were more sets of keys which decided who would be the lucky 2 celebrities to have luxury for the night, and it was none other than the football loverse Jill and Owen. George explained that the interior looked like '70's style bed spreads' and he was happy to not be sleeping in there, and Mike managed to remove a rather large spider which was sitting in the corner. Jill decided to speak about her professional career as a footballer and Babatunde added that the news was all over his Twitter timeline. Mike also shared some stories about some of the injuries he had whilst playing rugby, and that although the guys are all tough, they're usually a lot nicer than they look. For dinner, it was buffalo tail which Charlene managed to take control of again. Scarlette said that 'we should all change roles for tomorrow', hinting that everyone should try a task that they haven't done already. Ant & Dec also revealed that none of them would be taking on the next trial, as that was for the 2 new campmates who would be joining the jungle soon - which were revealed as comedian Seann Walsh and politician and former health secretary Matt Hancock!

After waking up from their night in the RV van, Jill said to Owen that all she needed was a bacon and egg sandwich. It was George's turn to clean the 'dunny' and he explained that it was a 'spiritual experience'. New campmates Seann and Matt entered the Mole Headquarters where they met eachother for the first time. As soon as Matt walked into the camp, Seann began laughing instantly as he was in shock as to who his fellow campmate was. They had similar musical interests, and Matt explained that he wanted to come into the villa to show people that he is a human with real emotions. They had to both work together to secretely complete 3 tasks in order to win luxury items for camp. They had to steal somebody's hat and gilet, call Chris Moyles 'Greg' 3 times and pretend that one of them was a twitcher, recreating bird calls of fictional Australian birds, and when they saw a tilly lamp flashing red, that was their sign to head back to the Mole HQ. As soon as they both entered camp, everyone was a little confused, but Chris asked Matt straightaway to say 'Next slide please'. Babtunde explained that it was difficult for him to put his views aside, and Sue commented that it was very brave for Matt to come onto a show like this, where your every move is shown to the public. Charlene explained to Matt that she was a journalist and wanted to know why he thought coming onto a reality TV show would be something he wanted to do. Matt replied and said that 'The government is ok...Rishi is ok, he'll be fine'..
Matt was able to steal somebody's hat and gilet in plain sight, and wear the hat on his head as if it was his own, and Seann explained to some of the campmates that he could hear the callings of a 'mallow' and 'astrix' bird. Matt also managed to call Chris 'Greg' three times, with Chris helping him out on the final one by saying 'So, what's my name then?'. Seann and Matt were then given the sign to head back to Mole HQ with the items they needed, and fpr winning the task they were treated with a cherry bakewell and a cup of tea. Chris continued his prank on Owen that he was secretely a professional dancer and now actor, and they recreated a gangster scene, with Scarlette also being involved in the scene as a woman from Tottenham. For dinner, the campmates were given possum, which gave Jill the idea to turn the possum tail into another tea...but Owen had already began eating that as part of his dinner. George explained that he started to get emotional, questioning if he wanted to be in the jungle, and Babatunde commented on owen's eating habits, by saying that 'there's nothing on it, why are you eating it?'. Sue explained to George that they have no understanding for why Matt was in the jungle, but it's not their responsibility. George added 'How did you get so wise' and we found out that it was Matt who was going to be taking on the next trial, 'The tentacles of terror'.
Thursday 10th November 2022
At the beginning of this episode we watched George do some Buddhist meditation to begin his day. Matt and Batatunde had their first conversation to see if they had anything in common, and they discussed an interesting fact about themselves. Matt explained he plays snooker left handed and Babatunde said that he loves conspiracy theories. Scarlette pulled Matt for a chat to ask some questions about the role he was in within government, and explained that his first few days might be a bit difficult due to the situation that occured in his office. George and Seann did some face yoga to relax their faces, amd after Matt was annnounced to do the most recent trial; 'Tentacles of terror', Chris said, 'I didn't realise you were so popular'. In the trial, Matt had to enter a metal container which went lower into the water after each collected star, and he had to swim down into different chambers which included insects and crawlies including snakes, eels and small crocodiles. Ant added 'I'm sure you met a few snakes in parliament' to which Matt replied 'Let's laugh afterwards!' In the end he got all 11/11 stars for camp! The next trial to be announced was the eating trial, called 'La cucaracha cafe' which Sue was exempt from taking part in.
Back at camp, Babatunde asked Matt how life had been since leaving his role in government and he explained that it's been difficult, but he 'fell in love'. Babatunde jokingly added that he had been 'grabbing booty' and they both started laughing. Seann and Sue also began speaking about an awkward experience, to which Seann admitted that he had been seen kissing another woman, and had to apologise on The Jonathan Ross show which he felt like he shouldn't have done, as the whole story was private. George also spoke of his hair-removing schedule here every week he has everything waxed, with Owen describing it as 'painful' and Charlene adding that nothing is as bad as child birth. Mike added that his partner gave birth in a gym toilet as they were not going to make it to a hospital.
It was over to Matt and Seann to complete the 2nd part of their Mole missions. They had to recruit 2 new celebrities to join them in order to win the remaining luxury items. Matt needed to ask Scarlette to scream twice, and have Mike come to her rescue to remove a spider from the shower, and Seann had to recruit Jill by getting her to tell Charlene that she turns off Loose Women due to the moaning. They both had to get Scarlette and Jill to run a fake -pre-football warm up for the Lionesses as the final task. Jill actually got a splinter on her finger and Seann quietly explained the tasks and she questioned if Matt was also a mole. After Scarlette had finished cooking, it was Matt's turn to give her tasks to her. In the end, all the tasks were successful and the 4 moles returned back to Mole HQ where their rewawrd was given - including the tea and cherry bakewells! For dinner, the campmates all had octopus, and the 4 moles Chris, Matt, Jill and Scarlette had to reveal themselves to the others. The luxury items were then opened one by one: Scarlette - Pictures drawn by nieces and nephews of her experience in the jungle
George - Customised shirt with dots
Seann - Festival chair
Babatunde - Disposable camera to take pictures for photo album, joking that he wasn't going to take any pictures of Matt!
Matt - A fluffy blanket
Mike - A pilow
Owen - Mug with a picture of his grandparents
Chris - Pair of indoor slippers
Charlene - Photo of her 2 children
Sue - Face cream (which Seann thought was lube)... Jill - 3 plays of the song 'Sweet Caroline'. It was both Matt and George who were going to take on the eating trial!

At the beginning of this episode, Sue managed to lose her towel and after silence from the rest of her campmates, she said 'I don't feel any of you being supportive at the moment...'. Sue told Mike to let Matt know that he needed to clean up all of his shaving equipment and hot water and Owen secretely revealed that he wanted to do the challenge as he 'just wanted food'. In the challenge, both Matt and George had to eat and drink a variety of weird meals including Raw fish eye tacos, 'Willy con carne', 'Vajitas' and 'Guacahole' for Matt, which he described tasted like a 'funny kind of Steak', and 'Queezy nachos, 'Barfarita', which he said tasted like a fart, and 'Grimmychanga' for George. Their final meal that had to eat together, with Matt having 'Serpent Churroches (cockroaches with fermented cockroach dip), and George having ''Deep sea salsa' which was blended and fermanted seaweed. They won all 11 stars and went back to camp. The next trial to be announced was 'Who wants to look Silly On Air?' and another 2 campmates were going to take this one on.
The conversation quickly turned to Seann, who revealed that he was a naughty boy at school and liked to cause trouble. Sue explained that she was adopted and acting saved her...She would often go into clothes shops and wear different jackets to see which personality suited her best, and she also has two half sisters who are also in the business. The next 'Meals on Wheels' game was being taken on by Mike and Babatunde which was called 'Whack A Mole'. In the challenge they had to hit the mole with the incorrect answer in order to win dingo dollars in order to play for a special treat. Some of the questions included 'A line not included in Old Macdonalds Farm' and 'Which of Kylie's tracks didn't make it to number one'. The question for the campmates was about Mike's wife Zara, and which number she was in line to the throne; 14th, 17th or 20th. The campmates said 17th, but she is in fact 20th - so no treats for camp! Charlene asked Matt if he was planning on writing a book when he was finished in the jungle and he said that he's already nearly finished one called 'Pandemic Diaries'. Jill added that the trials Matt has to do, are practice for the big trial he has to do about his time in government. Matt apologised for his mistakes, but Charlene responded by saying 'Sorry doesn't cut it' as it's affected her family. For dinner, the campmates had squad, and vegetables which included mushrooms. Matt decided to give away some of the tips that politicans use when in interviews, by diverting questions or 'answering the question they want'. It was announced that both Owen and Matt would be taking part in the next trial, with the rest of the campmates able to come and watch!
Saturday 12th November 2022
It's the end of the first week, and in this final episode to top off the first week, Scarlette spotted a rat during the night whilst the others were all asleep. She explained to Matt and Babatunde in sign language, and Matt had a basic understanding which shocked Babatunde but he gave his respects for Matt. Owen explained to Jill that he had a dream, he and Mike had gone for a massive meal at Nandos and Seann compared George to being 'the radio of the camp' as he is able to make a song out of almost anything. Before Matt and Owen went off to do the trial, Owen added that everytime Matt has done a trial, he has won fulls stars, so if they don't...then the problem is on Owen. Ant & Dec announced that the trial was like the original gameshow 'Who wants to be a millionaire' but they would be playing for stars, not money. the first question was worth 1 star, with the other 5 questions worth 2 stars. There were also 4 lifelines; 50/50, ask the audience, ask Ant & Dec or phone a friend (in the audience). Owen and Matt were asked about topics that they would be good in, and Owen specifically said Leicester City football and Matt stated anything to do with history or politics.
The first question asked who played the character Sirius Black, and they used their first lifeline to ask Ant & Dec. Dec had no idea, and Ant gave them the correct answer of Gary Oldman. The next question asked where brothers Chris & Liam Hemsworth were originally from and the boys decided to ask the audience, who the majority of, said Brisbane, and Seann said Sydney...the correct answer was Melbourne!). Matt was confident that the closest place to the jungle was not the Taj Mahal, but after the final two answers being Taj Mahal and Mount Fiji...he went with Taj Mahal, and it was the wrong answer - because he heard the question as 'which was the furthest away from the jungle'. Owen incorrectly thought that Jessica Ennis-Hill had won Sports personality of the year and that was 6 stars in a row that Matt and Owen had lost. For the final question they had to state which event happened first, and as one of the answers was about Coronation Street, they used their final lifeline to ask their friend Sue for help. She explained that Coronation Street was the correct answer and they won a final 2 stars, giving them a respectful 5/11. At the end of the challenge everyone was cheering for Sue, and Owen didn't want to speak about how many stars they had got as they only won 5...so he spoke about how many stars they got! (Lol).
Ant & Dec announced the next trial which was called 'House of horrors' and looked like a little dolls house, but with a lot of creepy insects and animals. Back at camp, George was talking about his love for kimchi and how it reminded him of being 'cultured' and Matt jokingly said that's why his band was called 'Culture Club'. He explained that some songs almost didn't make the album, including Karma Chameleon which he had to fight to be a record and also spoke of his squatting experience when his parents used to bring him food and compliment his 'muscle man wallpaper'. Seann also asked Owen 'How do I look like you?' with the simple answer being to train at the gym 6 times a week and eat healthily. He added that he also makes friends at the gym, by either helping people who don't use the machines right, or by training alongside a stranger and having similar interests.
The final deals on wheels challenge for this week was being done by Chris, Sue and Jill, with a game called 'Flying Colours'. They were given a set of colours to memorise and then they had to individually answer a question about which colour they saw as part of the sequence. They weren't doing too well, and then they were on a roll and managed to win the dingo dollars. They had to answer which of the 3 campmates had tweeted the most, and they all said Chris, but it was actually Jill or Sue (we're guessing Jill!). When they got back to camp, Matt asked them why they were all blue and they all were disappointed they didn't win any popcorn. As the dinner was being brought down, Owen said that it looked very light and Seann explained it looked like Pumba from The Lion King - as they were eating wild boar rump for dinner. Chris and Seann also had a bond about how weird it is for people to not send kisses on messages; with Seann explaining that his American friends don't add kisses when they send messages. We also found out that either Chris or Matt was going to be taking on the next trial...and it was Matt once again! Ant & Dec also asked the public to vote for 2 celebrities who they wanted to be Camp Leader, and they would go head to head in order to win the luxury! That's the end of the first week of I'm A Celebrity 2022! Stay tuned for another blog post soon!
