'I'm A Celebrity' 2020 - Week 3 Review (29th November to 4th December)

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

Sunday 29th November 2020

At the beginning of the episode, Ant and Dec revealed that another campmates would be evicted tonight so the voting was open once again! The campmates were speaking about Hollie's departure and how sad it is that she's no longer in the castle. Jordan stated that she wasn't afraid to make jokes or take the mick out of the others, and Jessica added that there's now 'one less bed slept in' and she didn't know how to feel, before coming up with the word 'empty'. She went on to explain that she and Hollie were #CampSisters and would do eachother's hair everyday.

It was over to Giovanna to reveal that the next trial was called 'The Critter Clink', to which Shane said 'No', Jordan happily put his hand forward saying that he was 'happy to throw his hand in the ring', and Victoria stated that she really wanted to do it, as she wanted to prove to herself that she was able to do it. Russell also put himself forward, admitting he feels that he has done the least compared to the others, apart from doing the clothes wash and hanging them up. The campmates chose Victoria to complete the trial and in her pre trial interview she said that she wants to give it her best, but being honest, wasn't sure if she was going to be able to do it! Once at the trial she confirmed her feelings as 'scared, weirdly calm and on the verge of hysteria' - which is an interesting blend of feelings! And and Dec also revealed to her that from now on, it was down to the campmates who was doing each of the future tasks. In the trial, it was revealed that there were 11 stars to collect in total, which were all protected by a castle critter. She had to remove the star from the biggest critter first which was a real wolf dog and then get to the warden office and retrieve the set of keys which would help her unlock the other 10 cages in whichever order she wanted to, to find the rest of the stars! She was joined by a variety of insects and animals including pigeons, a milipede, toads, frilled lizard to which she introduced herself to by saying 'hello gorgeous', whipped scorpions, and a crowe...called russell, as stated by Ant. Victoria wasn't in the mood for jokes while she was completing her trial, and after it finished and she had earned 9/11 stars, Ant just wanted to make sure it was funny, as he didn't get any laughs...Before heading back to camp she did say 'I would have liked to have got 11 or 10, but 9 is gonna have to do', but after being reminded that other campmates got less than 9, she said 'Ok, well I'll be a little produer of myself then!'.

Back at camp, the campmates were over the moon that Victoria brought back as many stars as she did, with Beverley stating the 'Victoria is victorious' and that they were overjoyed! Russell said that although Victoria brought back 9 stars, she was disappointed because she didn't get the other two, and admitted that her mentality was that she's a winner. For dinner, the campmates were treated with octopus with blue foot fennel and fungus (which I'm not too familiar with) - but Shane's first comment was 'bloody octopus'. Victoria added that Vernon is the 'top dog' in the kitchen and was most suited to his role as the head chef. Some of the other campmates admitted it was 'chewy', Russell said 'it's not great' and Shane compared it to a 'tuna condom'.

At the beginning of the next section of the show, Shane and Beverley both spotted a robin in the castle, which could potentially be good luck, but also reminds the campmates that there are no windows. Beverley mentioned that she would usually wake up to a stroke on the hair by Hollie, and it was the first morning that it wasn't going to happen. It was over to Giovanna to read out a message for everybody, which stated that today was their first chance to win treats from home. In total there are 11 boxes that contain a treat from home for each of them, and they would all be competing in little challenges where they are able to win upto 10 keys, giving them the best chance to open all the boxes. Up first was Jessica, Russell and Jordan who took part in what looked simple, but actually ended up being quite difficult...well, for Jordan anyways. Before heading off, Jordan said he would be happy if he won a sausage roll from Greggs, even it was cold, Victoria said she'd be happy with a massive bar of milk chocolate, and Jessica added that her children could be treated her with a cuddly toy...but who knows?

Alright, back to the first trial! Each of the 3 campmates had to decide which role they wanted to play and then retrieve the keys from the clear containers. It was Russell and Jessica who decided to take control of the oars, to carefully carry and fill up the containers with bucket water, and Jordan was tasked with 'fishing' the keys out...which Jessica quickly stated didn't need to be filled to the top, and they could in fact reach their rod down into the containers. Jordan said he felt like he was gonna wee himself...to which Russell and Jessica replied to with 'somebody was making a mess in the dunny' - and Jordan quickly asked whether they thought it was him, whilst also giggling. Russell said that it definitely wasn't him as he has the WWC rule of wee, wipe and clean...which is a rule for men 'of a certain age'. During the challenge, they switched roles multiple times and Russell admitted that when he was a child, hook a duck was 'always the one for me' - and he was the 1990 champion! They won all 10 keys, but when explaining the challenge to the campmamtes, Shane said he had 'no idea what they were talking about' but was happy they got all the keys! Giovanna also added that this meant they were able to use all their keys to open 10 of the boxes, which was a very good start!

The next challenge was for Shane, Beverley, Giovanna and AJ who had to knock the pucks which were attached with keys, into the hole at the end of the table. This would enable them to have 'more chances to win food and treats from home' as stated by Shane. After a slow start, it was Beverley and Shane who got the first two keys, and in total they got 5/10. Beverley described it as '50% success and 50% failure' and Russell added that this also put a lot of pressure on the third and final team to win 10/10 keys, as they all 'despertately wanted the treat from home'. They were currently on 15/20 stars at this point! The third and final challenge saw Victoria, Ruthie, Mo and Vernon having to manouevre a number of balls with a key across a puzzle board...and if they key fell off, they would love that key...obviously! Vernon said 'Let's hope it doesn't go wonky (one-key) and it was over to the pairings to take on the board. Ruthie and Mo had a slow start and dropped lots of the balls, but after some reassurance from Victoria who told her to 'get that thought out of your head and just reset', they were able to get severeal keys into the win zone which Mo added '2 balls are better than nothing'. Victoria and Vernon had a straight star, with Vernon giving instructions including 'let it go to the V..one step at a time' and tried to keep Victoria relaxed throughout the challenge. In total they were all able to win another 7 keys, bringing their final total to 22/30! Victoria said that she wouldn't have been abkle to do it without Vernon, calling him an 'absolute legend'.

Giovanna explained that the 22 keys they won were in the bucket, and it was over to the campmates to win as many treats from home as they could, stars which would become meals or unfortunately open an empty box which wouldn't give a prize. AJ was up first, chose box 11 and was able to give Mo his treat from home, stating that 'he deserves it...he's a man on a mission' - so that was always a good start! Beverley won a meal for camp, with Vernon and Giovanna both opening an empty box. In the end, the campmates won a total of 9 meals for camp, and everyone received their treats from home apart from AJ, Jordan and a very sad Giovanna who said 'imagine how nice it would have been to hear from Tom (her husband) and the kids'...well, I'm sure there will be another chance to win a treat! For dinner they were treated with mutton (lamb ribs) and Vernon admitted that 'from the moment we started cutting it up, it smelt like a butchers...and when it hit the pan, it smelt like food'. Victoria told everyone to 'tuck in go go go' before describing them all as 'savages' as they were probably so excited to see proper food!

Each of the 8 celebrities who won their treats from home were able to have their messages read out by another campmate before revealing their 'lucky gift'. Beverley's message was from her husband which was read out by Jordan, and had the final words 'I love you with all of my heart', and treated with cookies! Vernon's message was from his wife Tess Daly and their children with the words 'you just wanted to make your girls proud, and we are all so proud' and he was treated with giant chocolate buttons. Mo's message was from his wife Tanya and the kids who were used to being away from home, but it's a change from watching him running around in circles and they treated him with jelly babies! Shane's wife Christy gave him Lindt Lindor chocolate, Russell's partner Louise admitted that she has him album on loop to 'make me feel like you're close to me', calling him a tough cookie and treating him with mini cheddars! Ruthie's daughters Lilly and Dolly called their mum an 'inspiration', admitting they are the 'luckiest daughters in the world' and she was awarded with crisps. Jessica's parents said that she has made them proud and gave her dairy milk, and Victoria's husband and kids said that 'the sad captains' were all sad and they all missed her dearly...and she also received dairy milk! The campmates decided to share their treats with some of the campmates who didn't receive messages or treats from home and Shane admitted that if he didn't offer one of his Lindor balls to Giovanna, Christy would go 'ape sh*t', probably because of how genuine Giovanna has come across in the castle!

We found out that the second eviction from the castle would either be Ruthie or Beverley, but it was Ruthie that was next to leave! Jordan said 'everyone needs to see that lovely smile' preparing her for her live interview, and Victoria added 'she's alright, she's good', whilst she was saying her goodbyes! Some of the other campmates stated that they would be seeing her next week, but I think Ruthie was more excited to have a tasty burger after the show had finished by stating 'I can already taste my burger'. During her interview with Ant and Dec she revealed that she was terrified of the unknown and said 'you have no control of what happens in there, and the rollercoaster of emotions is ridiculous...and you're often thinking about things that you haven't thought about in years'. She went on to say that everyone was delightful and nothing went unnoticed if people's moods were either up or down. Ruthie also mentioned some of the royal revelations she mentioned and she openly said that she felt like she was having a chat with a friend, forgetting that the cameras were there, and added that she wish she could have sold her story instead of just blurting it out! She also added that it was quite difficult to integrate with the bond of the other campmates as they were already 'quite tight', but being able to win their personal belongings by taking part in an initial trial with Russell, she felt that they were going to be welcomed gracefully, describing it as a 'baptism by fire' - whatever that means! In the final part of her interiew she explained how the other campmates helped her to 'drop the mask' and you begin to open up and get into conversations you never thought you would. She admitted that the Ruthie people see on the outside of the castle is 'not totally' who she is...but rather a part of who she is. The final topic of conversation in her interview was being able to speak to the other mums in the camp on how to deal with certain situations, as she often thinks about what she's doing wrong rather than congratulating herself on the achievements so far as a mother. She wanted 'every single one of them' to win, but admitted that although Giovanna has been amazing, Shane might 'pip it'. We were reminded that the votes were open once again to vote for the celebrities that we wanted to keep in camp!

Monday 30th November 2020

At the beginning of the episode we saw Victoria waving at Giovanna and AJ performing a waving hand gesture to Mo on the next morning in camp. AJ said it would have been nice if he could have got a treat, as it would have been interesting what his girlfriend would have sent. Giovanna said she 'had a good nights sleep and ready for what the day brings'. She and Shane began discussing her podcast which tackles issues and conversations around being a mum, and she explained she's interviewed people including Kate Middleton who answered all of the questions she had prepared, and afterwards they shook hands and Giovanna was told that 'you must stay in touch'...labelled a #girlcrush by Shane. It happens that all of the royal chat happens whilst somebody is standing next to Shane's royal hammock (as noticed by Ant and Dec!).

Up next was the castle coin challenge which Giovanna and Mo took part in. They had to go seperate ways and communicate by a walkie talkie. It was over to Giovanna to name the country they were looking for, and Mo would then describe the shape and pattern of the shield that was featured on the map. The countries included Wales, Italy, Spain and Russia among others, and they were unable to move onto the next shield until they got the previous one correct...so after several attempts of working out where Wales was, and confusing an eagle with another animal, they were finally able to complete the challenge and win the money! Giovanna added 'I don't think either of us have a career in Geography teaching' and they were both happy that they won the coins!

Some of the campmates began discussing the presence of a 'phantom dribbler' in the castle...somebody who goes to the toilet and somehow manages to make a mess. Shane admitted that he walked out after he finished in the toilet and then somebody dribbled, and Jordan said he's going to complete a CSI Welsh investigation to see who it is! Victoria said that she went to the toilet after Shane and it was a bit wet on the floor...but that was only once, and she seems to think it was Jordan. Whilst outside, Jordan fell off his chair that was next to the fireplace (what a surprise!). Back to the Ye Olde Shoppe with Giovanna and Mo, and in order to win the chocolate eclairs over the cheese and crackers, the campmates had to answer the question: 'According to a recent survey, what % of Brits flush the toilet with the lid down. A- 43% or B- 28% - and the campmates incorrectly guessed B. Vernon managed to give a tip to the other campmates that mopping in a figure of 8 helps to sweep the mess off of the floor, and this is knowledge he gained during his many years of being a caretaker! When Giovanna and Mo were coming back from the trial, Vernon joked that the question was whether it was Shane or Jordan who was peeing on the floor...and Giovanna revealed that she had the door slammed on her and Mo in total 5 times so far!

Before Ruthie's departure from the castle, she sang one of her favourite songs- 'As long as he needs me' that she was able to perform while she played Nancy in Oliver Twist and Ant and Dec called it a 'tribute to Prince Edward, as she revealed some royal gossip in a previous night's episode!). She admitted 'somebody has to go, the party has to end' and Victoria added that she was going to miss the singing voice, calling her a 'woman's woman'. She went on to explain that they have all contributed to making her stronger than when she first came in, and Russell also added that he was really sad that she's gone. AJ said that her singing voice gave him 'chills at the back of his spine'. Russell decided to put himself forward for the next trial as Victoria did the previous one...and it was called 'Rancid Rotisserie'. Before he left for the trial, Victoria said that she thought he would get 8/9 as he's really confident, and Russell pre guessed what the trial was before meeting up with Ant and Dec in the trial area! It was revealed that this was a general knowledge trial where he simply had 10 chances to win the 10 stars for camp, and that he would be strapped to a rotisserie and spun in a 'batter bath' like a chicken. After the first spin, he said 'it's cold..does it have ice cubes in it?' and faced his first question which was on the topic of 'Literature' and Russell incorrectly named the first in the series of the Harry Potter books...His second question was on 'World Records' and he correctly answered the current world record for the men's marathon, thanking Mo by saing 'that's what sitting next to Mo Farah for two weeks does for you...otherwise I probably wouldn't have known that one'. During the trial he has molasses (a type of sweetener) and lots of feathers thrown on him whilst trying to answer the questions. His other topics included Science, History, Geography, Television and even Castles, but in the end he was only able to win 5/10 stars, and he admitted he was 'just happy to get out of there to be honest'. Shane said they knew when he was coming back because they could hear him 'singing halfway up the castle'. Beverley admitted that when Russell had described the trial, it seemed like 'one of the worst that has happened so far' - and Russell quickly said he wasn't very good at general knowledge but managed to get 5/10 for camp. Mo quickly stated that the dinner was going to be small as they usually get 7, 8, 9 or 10 stars, but the trial was tough...and he said 'I would have struggled'. AJ added that at least Russell has 'learnt some new general knowledge as well!'

To start the next morning, the campmates were awakened by a full moon which Vicoria called 'absolutely stunning' and I guess it's a better view than another trial! Vernon described the time he was invited to the chequers...where the Prime Minister lives and was invited to a dinner by Tony Blair who was the leader at this time. He went on to explain that there were 'bits of historic memorabilia that Winston Churchill was given by American leaders' among things collected from other countries and a chess board from Lord Nelson's ship! He also explained that his wife Tess and Tony Blair were swordfighting playfully, and they were reminded that there were at least 'a dozen military personnel watching'. It was funny how Vernon described the situation, as he said that 'big decisions have been made in these rooms...and then Tess Daly from Strictly and Vernon Kay from Family Fortunes were invited too. After Russell's 5 star win in the earlier challenge, they were treated with two ducks, with their heads still on along with white asparagus. Victoria explained that 'there wasn't enough food for 10 people, but they had to try and get as much meat off the ducks as possible'. Jessica also added that the dinner was amazing and both Victoria and Vernon did a great job of cooking, but 'the only downside is that we didn't have a lot'. Vernon and Shane then discussed their perfect night of having pizza, potato wedges and chicken wings...which I think made everyone watching the show feel really hungry!

It was over to Ant and Dec to reveal the next two people who were evicted from the camp, and between Beverley, Russell and Victoria, it was only Russell that managed to keep his place in the castle. Both the girls lasted 17 days in the camp and were gunged, caged with critters and Beverley even had to eat some not so tasty meals in order to win dinner for camp. Victoria added that along with her husband and her boys, this experience has been 'up there', to which Beverley admitted that her experience was 'mind blowingly wonderful' and it's great that they both went in together and came out together! The first part of the interview was with Victoria about her time in the castle, and before going in, she admitted she enjoys life's luxuries, but stated that 'some elements in the castle were hard' but she 'managed to squeeze the life out of every moment'. She goes on to say that the people were incredible, they all had a journey of emotions including laughter, crying, screaming, and they all did 'great things together'. Ant and Dec picked up on her 'inner journalism coming out in camp as she was asking lots of people different questions, such as Shane's role of Alfie Moon, Mo's journey of coming to England and winning olympic records for the United Kingdom. She just said she 'likes asking questions and wants to know about people's lives' as she is interested in people!

Beverley's interview began with the joke of her husband John being otherwise known as a 'megashag' which they said 'we definitely didn't broadcast that on television, it was just a private joke between us' - and when watching back her highlights in the castle, she couldn't look any further away from the screen, and was shocked that they aired John's nickname on the show. She seems really sad during the interview, but managed to explain that before the show she felt as if she had no survival skills and still has 'no idea how I got through the experience' but stated that during the trials for example; if she was to 'lift my head for 1 second, you lose meals for everybody else at camp', admitting that her mind went to a different place while she was in there and didn't want to let the team down! She was also questioned on the validity of her veganism as one of her co stars wasn't so sure she was telling the truth. She openly said that she started in March, after reading that joints heal quicker when your meals are plant based' and also said that sometimes you also forget that there are camera in there, and feel like you overshare without realising. She paused for a moment and said 'I don't know what else to say' as she was probably still in shock with being evicted, having her nickname for John broadcast on live television and feeling like she embarrased herself, but in reality, she's a lovely woman and I'm sad she didn't at least make the final! Before they both said goodbye, Victoria also stated that during her time in the castle there are 'no distractions and high intensities...so you're able to tell your lifestories to relative strangers' and Beverley added that she obviously wasnt very subtle with some of the stories she told to the other campmates. Victoria also stated that when you enter competitions or enclosed spaces like this, you 'think there's always 1 you don't get on with...but nobody was a pr*t. The final question to the both of them was 'Who do you think is going to win?', Victoria said 'If you're asking for just one name...Shane' and Beverley said 'I think it's going to be Shane...hopefully it's going to be Shane and Jordan as the last two!'

The votes reopened to vote for our favourites that were the final 8! Who would be next to go? AJ, Giovanna, Jessica, Jordan, Mo, Shane, Vernon or Russell?

Tuesday 1st December 2020

At the beginning of this episode we see some of the girls of camp waking up, with Jessica explaining that she's tired and Beverley not sure how to feel because it's too early! Vernon admitted that he feels like he is losing a lot of weight, but Christmas is only round the corner so he'll be able to put on some more weight! Beverley spoke to the other campmates about being offered a free face lift when she gets out of the castle, and Vernon suggested she should just get the 'Croydon facelift' where you tie your hair back really tightly. We found out at this part in the programme that some of the campmates enjoyed the fruit...including the red bananas, and Mo wanted some more; never heard of red bananas, so maybe that's a Welsh thing?

It was Beverley and Shane's turn at completing a castle coin challenge, and for this challenge they must have felt right at home, as it was all about the popularity of pub names. They simply had to order a selected group of pubs in order to win a night at the pub for all of them to enjoy. After some failed attempts and lots of 'watered down beer' squirted in their face we found out some of the most popular names for pubs included 'The Red Lion' at Number 1, followed by 'The Crown' and 'The Royal Oak'. Beverley admitted that they could get a spin off series from completing in this challenge, or they'll never work again, and Shane was just happy to have the chance to go to a pub! During the task they wondered why they couldn't get any new pubs in the right order with Beverley stating 'why are we so forgetful' and Shane's joke reply was 'we have a collective age of over 200. When they went back to camp, they played a prank on the others stating that they must have answered the question wrong, and they 'couldn't even get to Cledwyns' - before revealing that they were getting ready for a night at the pub! Jordan was very excited, and Beverley added that 'we've got drinks and snacks'. After multiple failed attempts at a cockney accent and making the word 'uncle' sound like 'ankle', Jordan also began getting ready for the pub, showing off his six pack to Shane whilst he was having a shower and being shocked that he could see abs...gosh, I wish I look like him at 30!

Shane and Mo were revealed as the next leader and deputy leader of the camp...but not much other information was given. Beverley began speaking about the next elimination after noticing the full moon, stating that 'if I go I go, if I stay I stay', and it was also revealed that the next trial was called 'Cart-astrophe'. Although AJ, Mo and Jordan were all happy to put themselves forward, it was Giovanna and Vernon who were the selected campmates to take part in this trial. Vernon admitted that some of the tasks are alright, but often it's 'difficult to do it when you've got creepies, slime and goo all over you, but we want to bring food back for the family'. The trial involved transferring 'castle nasties' including animal hearts, brains and other slimey stuff into collection boxes. One campmate had to throw the contents into the helmet of the other, and they would then pour the contents into a container to reach the yellow line, signifying a star. It was Giovanna throwing and Vernon catching and during the trial Giovanna sometimes asked Vernon 'are you okay', to which he either replied with a noise or ignored as he probably didn't want to swallow what was being thrown at him. After the trial, Vernon spoke about the smell, saying 'it's a smell that I've never experienced before, and I never want to again'. In total they won all 8 stars out of the possible 8, and whilst walking back to the camp, Vernon stated 'I think the stairs are getting heavier and heavier' to which Giovanna replied, 'you can usually climb 2 stairs at a time'...yeah, or 3 or 4, depends how many drinks you've had!

For dinner, the campmates were treated with proper 'pub grub' to which Jordan stated 'pie, peas, chips, gravy, what more can a boy want?' - maybe a glass of bubbly or something too? AJ mentioned that 'while we were eating, there was no reason to talk...appreciate more, eat more' and Shane did a toast to celebrate their recently evicted campmates Victoria and Beverley. After a revelation by jessica that she didn't know she liked pie, it was over to 'Mr Karaoke' to bring some entertainment to the evening. Shane began by performing a song by The Jam which AJ said 'I don't know the song, but Shane was in his element', and after Jordan promised himself not to take part in karaoke admitting that he couldn't sing...he sand 'I Will Survive' which got mixed reviews from the others, including Russell who said 'Jordan's solo was interesting'. Other performances included Shane and Mo's collaboration on Spandau Ballet's 'Gold' and the mixture of group performances of Sweet Caroline and Rock Your Body, which Giovanna said 'the solos were great, but the best bit was the group songs'. Finally, Jessica took to the stage to perform her own rendition of Mariah Carey's 'All I want for Christmas is you', admitting that she 'felt like an 8 year old at a birthday party, that just wanted to dance, sing and have a great time. Giovanna added that she felt 'completely giddy and loving life'.

We found out that the next 2 people evicted from the castle were Russell and Jessica. Russell survived 15 days and Jessica survived 18, both of them feeling 'mixed emotions' now being out of the castle. Russell stated that it was emotional looking back on his time in the castle, as it reminded him of how great the experience had been. Ant and Dec joked that his next album could be called 'Songs from the Castle' and he's got some campmates as backing singers! He added that 'as soon as somebody asked me to sing, I was there, no encouragement...taking every opportunity that he could get' and Jessica stated that being in the castle almost felt like her new home, and the time in there has gone so quickly! Before entering, she admitted she wanted to face challenges head on, and had no plans on quitting. She did go on to say she was known for being a 'bit of a scaredy cat' but she was really proud that she didn't quit. They both spoke about how being at the castle inn was lovely, as they were with everyone, with Jessica admitting it was the first treat she could enjoy without having to 'worry where the next meal is coming from, or what chore to do next'. She also said that she was able to recognise her own strengths, not just relating to the trials and challenges, but in the day to day castle life and being able to complete some of the challenges; including not being able to have a private shower, wearing 'smokey clothes'...which were things out of her comfort zone. She even said that people she spoke to, before appearing on the show, stated that they thought she wasn't going to last and would probably be the first campmate out...so she managed to prove them all wrong! The last thing Jessica mentioned in her post-interview was that being able to announce she and Shane got 12 stars, was a 'massive achievement that she was able to tick off from her bucket list' and mentioned that she's probably not going to have any of the Welsh foods outside of camp, other than some of the fruit! In terms of who they both wanted to win, Jessica had high hopes for Giovanna, and Russell said he would like to see AJ win, but thinks Shane will 'pip it' - which was exactly what Ruthie said in her interview! With another campmate being evicted tomorrow, let's see what happens!

Wednesday 2nd December 2020

Only two more nights until the 20th live final of 'I'm A Celebrity'! In tonight's episode we heard Jessica speak about how she slept like a baby the night before, probably blaming it on the big meal everyone had as they were treated with a pub visit! Jordan added that he might be hungover and explained that he really enjoyed the night. He decided to play a little game of hide and seek with the other campmates who all ended up hiding from him, turning their duvets into human like bodies to try and put him off the scent that they weren't there...In the end he said 'I know exactly where you all are' and proceeded to find the other 5 campmates hiding in the room where they all do their interviews away from the others...to which he added...'I think I peed myself a little', especially after counting to 100 elephants which probably didn't help!

The next castle coin challenge was to be completed by Jessica and AJ who met a wonderful horse called Humphrey, and they had to transfer his food from different buckets, into containers labelled 'starter', 'main' and 'dessert'. The starter was soup, main was hay and the dessert was molasses (which they found out was very sticky and sweet). Throughout the challenge they were finding it difficult to reach the line, as more of the ingredients were going over eachother than in the right containers, but at the end of the challenge they managed to win the coins which they were able to trade for a treat! Jessica added 'AJ got us over the line with the last bit of molasses from his boot' - which wasn't a lovely sight and probably wouldn't have tasted nice, but it won them the challenge anyhow! When they went to the shop, they could either win a fruit platter or the remaining treats for AJ, Giovanna and Jordan as they didn't receive theirs in the previous episode. They decided to go for the final treats, but only if the other campmates got the question correct! 'Over the course of I'm a Celebrity get me out of here, how many stars have been won by the camp so far. A- 141 or B- 121. After much deliberation, they went with 141 stars, they were correct...and they won the treats from home! AJ stated on the way back that 'G and Jordan are going to be so happy' and that was an understatement! The final treats were from AJ's girlfriend Abbie who said 'I love you more than words can describe, and miss you every second of everyday, treating him with fruity and nutty chocolate. Giovanna's message was from her husband Tom who said 'I'm wishing more than ever that I could squeeze your hand, and looking forward to you being home so you can have the kids and I can finally get some sleep' and she got chocolate! And finally, Jordan received a message from his mum and dad telling Jordan to 'believe in yourself Jordan because we believe in you. You're braved and stronger than you know. Team North are 100% behind you! He added that 'I'm so glad I got it whilst in camp, because I don't know if it would have had the same effect outside' and his chocolatey treat was Kinder Bueno!

Shane noted that Mo was a massive fan of Eastenders, so both of them began impersonating Phil Mitchell, attempting the Eastend accent and walking around with purpose. It was quite amusing because Shane's voice is quite deep and when Mo spoke, he sounded like a little boy. He added 'I remember Phil Mitchell always telling someone off, or just not being happy' and Shane commented on Mo's performance by saying 'If we're here for another few days, I think he could be another reg in the Vic' - which Ant and Dec didn't think was accurate. AJ and Russell had a little chat about their time in the castle so far, with Russell revealing that 'I feel like I'm going tonight, but I'm alright' with Russell adding that 'We're only 3 days away from the final...it's like a double edged sword. I want to go home and see my family, but then I would want to see the competition till the end. Jessica also said that 'It would be nice to be here for the final few days...but after it was revealed that Russell and Jessica were the next 2 campmates to be eliminated, Giovanna stated 'Even though she was full of fear, she got the work done...and she's got the best smile ever! She went on to say 'I'm the last woman standing...all my wonderful women are gone, and my main concern now is who's going to pump for me in the shower'. In the next discussion, AJ mentioned that everytime he gives somebody a hug, he's not thinking about saying goodbye to them, but rather when he's going to see that person again.

The next trial was called 'Game of Groans' and another 2 campmates had to take part in this one. Mo was instantly nominated as he hasn't taken part in as many trials or challenges as the others, and it was between AJ and Jordan for who was going to be the other person taking part in the trial. After AJ was selected, they did 1 round of rock, paper, scissors, just to see who would have won...and Jordan won the round, adding 'Here's what you could have won' as he really wanted to take part in the challenge. Anyways, Mo and AJ were met with 16 shields on a board numbered 1-16, each with a painted symbol on the back...which Mo seemed really excited about before the trial was even spoken about and had confidence in them both by saying; 'We're gonna do well'. Their task was to memorise the symbols and the positions and give the correct answers that would differ in each round, and they would also be joined by a variety of critters including cockroaches, maggots and mealworms. For the first round, they were given a number and had to quickly identify the object on that shield, but didn't win either of the 2 stars in this round. In the second round they had to find the other shape that was shown to them. For example, Ant and Dec would show the boys a cockroach, and in turn one campmate would have to identify where the other cockroach was...and another shape could have been a crown, and the other campmate would have to find the other crown! Sounds more complicated that it actually was, but this is a really detailed weekly review so I'm trying to cram as much information as I can into a post! They were able to win both of the stars in the second round! Round number 3 saw them having to identify pairs on the board and thankfully they were at least able to get to the halfway mark, earning themselves 3/6 stars for camp.

Whilst waiting for AJ and Mo to come back to camp, Jordan decided to start a game of 'would you rather' with some of the others. His first question asked whether they would prefer a massive thumb or toe, with Vernon quickly saying thumb and Giovanna saying 'would it not get in the way?' - not she which she was referring to, and Vernon added 'how would you walk?' (if you had a big toe). The other question was would you rather be constantly having hiccups or be a 'constant trumper' to which Shane replied 'definitely hiccup', adding that people that trump all the time are a little annoying...hinting at Jordan (oops). After the boys came back and said they only got half of the meals for camp, Giovanna said 'we've got a massive bar that people have set for stars, so when others come back with lower, they must feel disappointed..but there's only 6 of us left! Mo added 'the way they reacted, they seemed happy...but it would have been better to come back with all the stars'. As Mo is a 'Sir', Vernon took it upon himself to make Shane believe that Mo has his own butlers and chefs, and that they are 'professionally trained' by the Queen, adding that some of the other campmates knew that. Vernon quickly began addressing Giovanna, saying, 'G you knew that don't you...how gullible YOU ARE' (in Shane's face) and they all began laughing, as it wasn't the first time they were able to prank Shane. For dinner, there was a small portion of crab, and Giovanna added 'it's really quiet when cooking...even Vernon was forth coming with his opinions. It's really odd placing out 6 mess tins' - to which I agree with all of the above! It's weird that Vernon wasn't speaking much, and half of the campmates are gone (but at least that's less cleaning that Shane needs to do!). Jordan stated that 'I've never had crab or crabs before...but I've had crab paste', admitting that it used to be a filling for his sandwiches when he went to school. Vernon admitted that he doesn't know how posh restaurants serve crab, because there isn't much edible meat. AJ also commented, saying that it had been the most disappointing meal so far, and earning those 3 stars wasn't really worth it...

It was over to Ant and Dec to reveal the next 2 campmates leaving the castle, after Hollie, Ruthie, Victoria and Beverley and Russell and Jessica...and it was Mo and AJ who were to follow in all of their footsteps! That meant that Giovanna, Vernon, Shane and Jordan were the final 4 remaining campmates, and one of them would either be crowned the first King or Queen of the castle! Before they left, Jordan quickly shouted 'everyone's gonna be proud of you both and Shane added 'love you Mo, love you AJ' before they exited the castle and went for their live interview! AJ quickly said that 'it feels very clean in here', comparing the castle life with a real television studio. He went on to say 'it feels like a celebration coming out of there, especially being with Mo', adding that they'll be best mates for life. He went on to say that there have been so many memories that have been made in such a short space of time, and walking into the castle, you have no idea what to expect! Ant and Dec spoke about his little bicker with Shane about cleaning the pots and pans, wo which Aj just said 'if you're gonna do a job, do it properly'. He said the experience was great, because people go through different journeys and have days including highs and lows. Mo said that before he went into the castle, he just wanted to prove to his wife and kids that he was brave, and admitted to missing them throughout the experience. Mo went on to explain that he really enjoyed himself, and it made it easy for them as they were able to challenge themselves on a day to day basis, adding that he wouldn't change one thing. He went on to speak about the 'good atmosphere' in camp, and couldn't believe that so many of the other campmates had such nice things to say about him. He was asked about being around lots of voices and different types of people, to which he compared with running, and the variety of athletes that he's in talks with...but with the usual routine of eating, training and sleeping, it was a different experience not knowing what was going to happen next. He added that being in the castle, people had to cook for themselves, and there was lots of time to have fun, joke around and he was reminded of how excited he was to see Cledwyn at the shop as he said 'all I was looking forward to was a bit of sweet'. AJ commented on the trials being memorable, and said that all of the remaining campmates are great people, but he was backing Giovanna until the final. Mo was in agreement, adding that she was 'wonderful' and 'helpful'. The final comment was from AJ who added that Giovanna was 'so positive, and does so much for so many people, including myself when I felt down'. Mo added 'I want sticky toffee pudding' and with that, there were 4 campmates left, and only 3 places in the I'm A Celebrity 2020 final! Who's going to go next? Read below to find out what happened on Thursday and Friday's shows!

Thursday 3rd December 2020

Giovanna explained at the beginning of the episode that it felt 'pretty amazing to be the last girl here' and as soon as Beverley left the castle, the 'trumps' started from the guys, putting emphasis on the fact that it wasn't her! Vernon stated that 'I don't know what I've become in here' and Jordan blamed his noises on the beans, explaining that sometimes when Giovanna wasn't in the room, that's when they would be breaking wind, thinking to themselves 'jesus, I was holding that in for 10 minutes' and as she comes back, trying to remove the smell. Shane and Mo decided to have a little Eastenders remake once again, taking part in a made up scene that Shane had created. He explained that Mo is at the 'top of his field' adding that 'you wouldn't be able to get me to run'. After referring to one of the characters as Bat Putcher and Pat Putcher, Mo finally got the name right, with Shane adding 'there's nobody in the square called bat'!

Vernon and Jordan were to take part in the final castle coin challenge where they were converted into little elves and had to deliver presents to the Welsh children by working out the translated meanings of words. Before the challenge even begun, Jordan admitted that vernon was a 'big elf' and they were both wondering what sort of wrapping/rapping they would be taking part in. Jordan answered the phone with the words 'welcome to Santa's grotto', to which he would hear a message from Welsh children asking for a present in Welsh, to which Jordan has to mimmick and get Vernon to understand and translate using his book of vocabulary. Once translated, Jordan would wrap up the item and post it through the letter box! Jordan admitted that 'I apologise to all the Welsh people watching this' - for his bad Welsh understanding. After wrapping and posting 10 presents correctly, they were able to win either chocolate oranges of mince pies for camp, with Vernon adding it was the 'toughest decision yet' and Jordan opting for mince pies because 'it's festive'. To win the mince pies, the 4 other campmates had to answer the following question correctly. 'What % of Brits have said they would try and sneak a peak at their Christmas presents?'. A- 14% or B- 22%. AJ admitted that he would be able to stay away, but might have a little peek, but revealed that his girlfriend Abbie would probably open her gifts and then rewrap them. They answered B which was the wrong answer, so no mince pies for camp! Mo and AJ were having a discussion at the fire, with AJ explaining he didn't want to go home and Mo explaining that 'if I leave I'll be gutted, I wanna stay until the end...but what will be will be'. AJ also stated that it's been his 'best experience that I've had so far, and I don't wanna go yet!'.

After it was revealed that both Mo and AJ were the next 2 campmates to be leaving the show, Giovanna said that 'Mo didn't need to say much, he just needed to have this cheeky look' adding that he's lovely and he's filled with sweet energy! Shane added that with the sport that Mo is in, he's always on his own, especially when it comes to training or eating, so he must have loved being on this show and around other people. Vernon added that 'Mo came alive when we were having our conversations, also adding that he could sense AJ really wanted to get to the end of the show. Jordan also commented on AJ, saying that he is a 'very ambitious guy, and talented guy, and I thought he was going to be in the final.

The next part of the show was what Ant and Dec had been waiting all season for...'The Celebrity Cyclone'. It sounds simple...you have stars, and you need to carry them to your selected star on the floor and try not to fall. The only problem is that it's cold, it's wet, the stars are quite heavy and you have water cannons shooting very powerful (and cold) water in your face. Each of the campmates introduced their hero personas, with Shane as 'Sir Twice a Night (Knight), as when you get older, you often need to go twice a night...Giovanna was 'Lady Hugger' as she was known for being friendly with everyone, Jordan 'King of the North', because his surname is North, and Vernon's name was a play of words on Sir Lancealot, by calling himself Sir Lanky-Lot because he's over 6 feet tall! After seeing Ant and Dec in jackets and thermals, it probably made them feel a little bit colder, but the challenge was going to fill them with enough adrenaline that they wouldn't even be thinking about the cold anymore! After selecting their order of Giovanna, Shane, Jordan and Vernon up last, they had to each manouevre themselves on their star position. It was over to Giovanna to carry 2 stars to the position of the first star that was stuck to the floor, and then Shane would have to grab the other star from her and move to the second point. Jordan carried another 2 stars and had to get to the third spot, and Vernon had to collect the spare star from Jordan and get to the final point! Once they were all in position, the challenge would be over...but just as Vernon was about to get to his star, a collation of balls and water came shooting out of the machine, and they were all thrown back to the beginning of the course. After eventually completing the course, Shane asked Ant and Dec is he could 'go down there to see if his testicles are down there' and Jordan admitted that it took him ages to get from the starting point upto his point. Giovanna also explained that once you eventually get out of the ball pit, you physically feel that you're unable to move anywhere. Both Shane and Jordan described the event as being able to wear a 'badge of honour' with Jordan adding it felt like a priviledge!

Their final dinner as a 4 was partridge (bird) which Vernon began singing the 12 Days of Christmas theme tune to...'a partridge in a pear tree' (Who didn't?), and Giovanna admitted that there were 4, which meant they all had one each, but she did say that 'cooking for 4 feels like cooking at home...it's more intimate'. Speaking about the eliminations again, Vernon said 'I'm happy, and if I leave tomorrow, there will be no way I will be disappointed' adding also that the partridge looked 'mega'. They were all in agreement that it looked quite meaty, with Giovanna adding that it smelt amazing, and Jordan was feeling festive especially as he's never had partridge before!

They all began reminiscing some of their favourite parts of the show so far, with Vernon explaining that his 'treat from home with the message broke me a little bit, because I said to the girls, all I wanna do is go in there and make you proud', explaining that when he got that message he was a little emotional. Giovanna said that the toughest thing she faced was not getting her treat, and having to try and get over her own emotions whilst always saying to everyone that she was feeling fine. She went on to say that being in the camp was an 'emotional rollercoaster, but the support of my fellow campmates is what has got me through'. Jordan also mentioned that his biggest achievement was after his meltdown before the viper trial that he completed with Shane, and that he had 'never been that scared before in my life...I was crying/shaking. Shane added that 'the change in you after that trial was incredible' and Jordan said 'I'm welling up now', probably because he has grown so much in the last few weeks! Shane went on to say that 'out of everyone, Jordan has achieved the most, and he's one brave geezer and I love him'. He also recalled the trial that he and Jessica took part in where they had to drink all those disgusting cocktails and soups, admitting that 'I remember zoning out, and not being in the room...it's done me'. he also went on to say 'think about the experienes we've all had...we've all shared something so unique.

We found out in the next eviction it was Shane that was going to be leaving the castle, just missing out on being in the final 3. That meant Giovanna, Vernon and Jordan would all be going head to head in one final episode of the show, before we were able to reveal the first King/Queen of the Welsh castle! Vernon was shocked instantly by saying 'no way!' repeatedly, and Shane revealed to Ant and Dec that he was feeling mixed emotions, as being able to get all the way to the cyclone task was his biggest achievement, and anything after that is a bonus. He went on to say that 'what the audience see and what we experience are usually two different things' but he explains that the experience went above and beyond what he was expecting it to be. He also gives advice for any celebrities who are thinking about taking part in the next series to try and embrace their time in the camp, feel comfortable with being an open book, explaing that 'you can't fake it in here'. Ant and Dec then asked him about how he was able to keep the morale high in camp, and he replied that he would just wake up in the morning, and he's not a fan of silence as at home there's usually the noises of the children, music or a television. Whilst he was in the camp, he admitted that 'if I saw somebody drifting away, I would think about trying to have some fun' and that his intentions were never to wake up and think about bringing up the morale, he was just being himself. The 'Sickening Stalls' trial was also mentioned in the interview and Shane added that afterwards, he had 3 nights with a dodgy belly. He also spoke about the campmates having 'no concept of time' explaining that they often don't know what time it is when they wake up in the morning, but they know that the show is broadcast between 9 and 10, so once they see Ant and Dec, they know they're live on television. He added that once when he went to the toilet it was night time and then after coming out 5 minutes later it all of a sudden turned sunny. (Probably more sun than we ever get compared to an English summer!). He was also questioned on who the thinks is the 'phantom dribbler' to which he explained himself on, stating 'everytime they were talking about it, I said it's not me...I was always sitting on the toilet seat' and shifted the blame onto Vernon. Ant and Dec said they would see if there were any marks once he had left the castle to find out if it was him or not! And the final question he was asked, was who he wanted to win. Shane explained he would like to see 'mumma G' win, as she has been 'so strong all the way through', adding that 'it could be anybody, but she's been there from the beginning and I adore her'. Giovanna, Vernon and Jordan...but only one can win! Find out in tomorrow's episode! Or you can just read down below if you've not had time to catch up on +1.

Friday 4th December 2020

The very final episode of this year's I'm A Celebrity, and what a series it has been! Vernon began by stating 'it's been truly amazing' - which is an understatement, and goes on to say 'I've had such a good time'. Jordan said that the experience has 'changed me as a person...I'm braver than what I think and stronger than what I think, and Giovanna said it's been the most 'amazing adventure ever' and something she will cherish the memories of forever! They all discussed the recent elimination of Shane from the castle with both Jordan and Vernon quite shocked, with Jordan adding 'I'm shocked Shane went...thought he'd win it' and Giovanna commenting on the fact that he was the entertainer in the camp, bringing the joy, spirit and stories, keeping so many of them going in camp, admitting it wouldn't be the same without him. Vernon also said that 'Shane's been a top bloke throughout the camp' and 'it means the world to me that I'm in the final...and that people have picked up the phone and voted for me'. Jordan also said that the Jordan leaving the camp, has a lot of self confidence and belief in himself, and Giovanna admitted she already felt like a winner in so many ways, but to receive the crown would give her an excuse for people to call her Queen from now on!

Before we found out which of the celebrities narrowly missed out on being in the top 2, each of them had to face one final trial. Vernon's trial was called 'The Table of Torment' and he had both his arms and legs shackled to a table. He just had to lie there for 20 minutes in order to win 3 stars (meals), a drink of his choice (for which he chose Welsh tea) and a treat for himself. Every 2 minutes he was going to be joined by a selection of critters...beginning with rotten fruit and vegetables and 10,000 maggots. After 2 minutes he was joined with 11,000 cockroaches and 8,000 minutes, followed by 5,000 earthworms, 100 hissing cockroaches and 100 millipedes after 4 minutes. On the 6th minute he was joined by 3,000 giant mealworms and 200 locusts and finally after 8 minutes, 40 whip scorpions which were placed on his face. After he managed to complete the trial and win all of the available stars and prizes, he admitted 'that is the most horrific thing I have ever done' and won a prawn cocktail for himself and Jordan, and prosecco for Giovanna!

Giovanna's final trial was called 'The Frightening Feast' where she simply had to eat 5 disgusting meals...they were fermented duck egg which had more protein than the crab, a cow's nose, a fish eye, a sheep's testicle and a bull's penis. She managed to win herself fish, chips and curry sauce, chicken for Vernon and corn beef hash for Jordan. Not much gagging and not much time taken (Well...maybe 17 minutes for Ant and Dec to get through, but around 4 minutes for the viewers to watch!). Jordan's final trial was called 'The Iron Maiden' and he had to stay still inside a cage for 10 minutes to win 3 stars; which would be converted into desserts, and a glass of guinness. After a little bit of screaming, looking around and small talk with Ant and Dec, he won everything and quickly jumped out of the cage in excitement (and probably in fright) of being trapped with 50 snakes for such a long amount of time.

After the adverts we found out that Vernon had received the least amount of votes meaning that he came 3rd overall, and survived 21 days in camp (like Jordan and Giovanna), but just not as many seconds. He said 'I feel absolutely ecstatic because it's been an awesome camp and it's an awesome word to describe what we've been through for the last 3 weeks'. He went on to speak about how far he got in the camp, stating that he was quite surprised he came 3rd, as there were some other real characters in there, and was more shocked to see Shane go yesterday as he was the one to 'prop the morale' in camp. He added that Shane would make the jokes and also be the regular trumper. Vernon went on to say 'this is the show, there's no show after tonight so I've got a big tick and completed it already'. He also spoke about how nervous he was going in, and that 2 weeks before entering, he explained to Dec how nervous he was about taking part in the experience. Similar to some of the other campmates he urges any future campmates to not hesitate going into the camp or the jungle, and it enables you to be your natural self, because if you try and become something that you're not, you'll eventually be found out. He also said that there was a huge spectrum of people in there, and after Jordan began the show by being sick on the cliff, he thought 'right, that's me not doing a trial for a week' as the public would have voted for Jordan almost every night...which is what happened to begin with! He also spoke about the challenge he completed yesteday (which was his final trial in the camp), adding that the scorpions smelt of aloe vera, but they continiously vit him, which wasn't great. He also said that '3rd place for me is more than my expectations, and I want to thank Richard and Mickey who look after the show, for getting me on board. And just before he faced all the paparazzi and the flashing lights, he said that both Jordan and Giovanna played real significant roles in the camp, but for the journey they have been on, what he was and what he is, Vernon wanted Jordan to take the crown!

We were then shown clips of the final 3 tucking in to their final meal of camp, with Giovanna describing the little restaurant as 'beautiful' and Jordan admitting that he was 'going to eat every last crumb...there won't even be a pattern on the plate when I'm finished with it'. Giovanna's main course was bruschetta and she admitted that the smell of the tomatoes and the basil was so tasty, Vernon's chicken with sweet potatoes and coleslaw was 'the best meal that I have needed', admitting he had also been waiting 3 weeks for a decent cup of tea from yorkshire. Giovanna stated that she was feeling quite full up, but after the pudding arrived, 'I didn't let that full feeling stop me'. Jordan's dessert was a butterstoch angel delight with jelly and cream (which sounds like a disgusting nightmare in a cup) but said that if it was as good as his mum Wendy makes, he would be delighed! Vernon was served with ferrero roches and Jordan revealed that he would only make it halfway...but the experience has been the best thing to happen to him, and he feels like a different person. Giovanna also admitted that she felt humbled to be in the final 3, and already feels like a winner because she has had such an amazing adventure. Jordan compared Vernon as a best mate, a brother and a dad, and said 'I feel like I've got a really good friend in you, somebody to turn to for advice' and Vernon thank him and also mentioned how much of an honour it has been to have got this far because he has had a whilst while's doing it...'one for all and all for one' - a phrase that Shane said multiple times, was said in the wrong order, making the 3 of them giggle their heads off...Jordan added 'trust you to get it wrong on the final night'.

Jordan and Giovanna had their final interviews with Ant and Dec with both of them feeling very shocked to have made the final 2. Jordan said 'never in a million years did I think I would be in the final 2', and Giovanna added 'it's all so bixarre, but it's so nice to actually see what's in this room!'. After watching her best bits, Giovanna said 'that pretty much sums it up, it was so funny', admitting that she has laughed so much throughout the experience and that it's been more than she ever thought it would be. She wanted to go into the castle to prove that mum's can be strong, and she said that 'I didn't flinch at many things...and you learn when people go wrong, when they cram it all in there at once' - describing one of the food trials that she had to complete for being able to escape the castle. She added that she's always been the 'mumsy one' which she used to think was a negative aspect, but it's not...adding that she's always been maternal, even after her first child. Ant and Dec also reminded her how excited she got about the food they received in camp, especially a ball of garlic, and she replied with 'I'm Italian, that's probably why!'. She also mentioned that there was a lot of pressure to cook as everyone is watching, and everyone is usually hungry...especially when there was weird food coming onto the camp. She added that everyone eventually knew to back off, as the chefs knew they were doing what they can, and that often made it easier..other than the fact that she sometimes gagged over the rice that tasted like boiled water, and unable to work out which part of the meal was fruity and which part was the vegetable! She added that she would sometimes whisper to Jess, hoping that nobody would see her complaing about the food. Finally, she said if she was Queen of the castle, it wouldn't matter much, as it's just amazing to be here and she couldn't believe she has been part of this year's show, adding that this year has been incredible! (Well, inside the camp anyways)..

After Jordan watched back through his best bits, he said 'I can't believe where I started to getting here now...you totally forget the cameras are there' and went on to say 'I didn't know I did that with my scarf, or I can't believe when I got naked in just my pants. He also admits that he thought he was going to be able to get away without having to do any trials, and at best get midway through the show before he got eliminated...and then he spewed on a cliff and everything changed. He added that he could maybe do the challenges with bugs or the eating challenges, but with snakes, tight spaces or heights he probably wouldn't have been able to do it! He also mentioned that watching all the clips back was a lot to wake it, as he 'cant believe how much he has faced'. After the trial 'Trapped Door' he admitted that 'after that I felt like my confidence had grown massively, and was ready to take on what was coming next', and added that he was the first person to do a trial on his own explaining that none of them are easy. Jordan also explained why he would always shout 'happy place happy place' and 'turfmoor', added that 'my brother said it to me ages ago, and when you're cold, wet or tired to just go to your happy place, and when I was in that box, I had to say it out loud'...he added that he would often go to the club with his dad, uncles, cousins and brothers before watching The Clarets play. Before going into the castle, Jordan admitted that he almost talked himself out of the experience, saying that he might have done it next year, but after being persuaded to go in, he knew he would make a few good friends, but didn't realise how genuine the people were all going to be. He added that he would probably call any of them for a chat or a drink, admitting that like Giovanna said, just being in the final 2 was unexpected, and being the King of the castle wouldn't make much difference as he feels like he's already won, knowing that he's got this far!

Before the winner was revealed, the previous campmates explained why either of the 2 finalists would be credible winners. Up first it was Jordan's messages from previous campmates including Beverley who said she instantly 'fell in love with Jordan', Shane admitted that he's got a 'great personality', Ruthie added that 'he's definitely walking taller' and Hollie compared him to her brother with a lovely soul! Jessica said that she had never met anyone like Jordan before, but he was very helpful and caring, and Victoria added that he has strength that he didn't realise he had!

Giovanna's messages were from campmates including AJ who said she's always doing something to help someome, Russell added that 'if anyone is having a bad day, mumma g is who we go to'. Mo said that she's a lovely person and had been herself the whole way through the experience, adding that she's caring, calm and gentle. Jessica stated that she 'instantly fell in love with her...she looked after everybody in camp, and she'll be a Queen in my eyes forever!

After 12 million votes were received and added up, it was Jordan who came the runner up to Queen Giovanna, who was crowned the first winner of the castle! Jordan said that the experience has been 'absolutely fantastic, and I coouldn't have lost to anybody better'. He added that she is the most genuine and kindest person he has ever met, and she deserves the win so much...congratulations! Giovanna sat down on her throne and stated that the chair was really comfy, and she can't believe it...people picked up their phones and voted for her. She added that 'it's been the most amazing experience, ask me how I'm feeling in a week!'. It was over to Vernon to do the honours to crown her as the first royal of the castle. It was Jacqueline Jossa who was the previous winner of I'm A Celebrity, but in the 2019 series where they were in the Australian jungle!

I hope you've enjoyed these weekly blog posts! I think she was so lovely the whole way through and the public backed her from day 1! But what do you think...Did your favourite win? Or was Giovanna a shock winner?
