'I'm A Celebrity' 2020 - Week 2 Review (22nd November to 27th November)

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

Sunday 22nd November 2020

To begin this episode, we saw the Lords enjoy their 'royal banquet'. Vernon read out to the boys that for the main course, it was a Welsh roast leg of lamb with gravy and mint sauce/slaw, their sides were roast potatoes, roasted red onions and dessert was an apple crumble with custard - which Jordan enjoyed so much, he began spooning out of the job! #SorryJordansMum...Jordan asked the rest of the boys who they would want to have seen at their table of royalty and Shane quickly said Robin Williams or Donald Trump, but I'm guessing the second one was a joke! When the boys got back to the camp, AJ revealed that 'victory tasted very nice this evening'...it sure does, but let's see if you can keep your food in!

Back at camp, Jessica and Beverley spotted a *massive* rat, and Victoria suggested trying to scare it off from under the bed. During the night, Vernon admitted that some of the boys were breaking wind, calling them 'windy bums' (not sure if I heard him say that, or if I am making it up, but either way my statement is true). Throughout the night, AJ had a hot thrush after all that food that he'd had the night before, and began posing for a magazine with Mo on camera! Moments later, Victoria noticed a throne outside the living quarters and went to investigate, before running back and letting the other campmates know of her findings. It was over to Giovanna to reveal that 'only the leader can sit in the chair' and that it was the public that voted for their leader! The public had voted for Jordan, who quickly said 'I don't want to be the leader', guessing that he was chosen because he's either doing well, or the general public like him, and either way he will try and do them proud. He chose Victoria as his deputy leader, and their next task was to assign rules to the others!

Jordan suggested that they choose one male and one female housemate for each task so that it's fair, and they eventually came to the agreement that the 'Camp Chefs' were Mo and Giovanna, 'Camp Maintenance' were AJ and Hollie, 'Camp Cleaners' were Russell & Jess, 'Camp Laundry' were Vernon and Beverley and finally, 'Camp Washing Up' were Shane and Ruthie...and Shane was relieved that he didn't have to clean the privy anymore!

We found out that the next trial was called 'The Harmoury' (derived from the word Armoury maybe?) and we would find out who the public chose to complete it, live, at the end of the show! The next castle coin challenge was for Vernon and Russell who simply had to finish the second half of sentences to make them complete, and to retrieve the letters that made the words, from a selection of barrels labelled in segments from A-Z! Some of their little riddles included 'The heart of a chicken and an armour of a BLANK' - the answer was 'Knight', so they had to retrieve six different letters which were in their allocated barrel, to spell out the word. Other riddles included 'The horn of a unicorn and the earwax from a BLANK' - Rhinosaurus, not just Rhino, otherwise that would have been too easy! And my favourite one to watch was 'A horses shoe and the whisker of a BLANK' - Chihuahua (which I know how to spell, as you think of the spelling as 'CHI WHO-UH WHO-UH'). They were then off to the Ye Olde Shoppe where they could either win jammie dodgers or pretzels, and they opted for jammie dodgers! The question that the other campmates had to answer was: 'According to a recent survey, what % of brits said that topless sunbathing in the UK was acceptable for both men and women. A- 56% or B-42%', the answer was A and the boys got it correctly...but Vernon persuaded to Russell to trick the campmates that they answered the question wrong. It was a great moment of the show, as you could see how much they enjoyed a jammie dodger as they'd been without proper food since they've been in the castle..eating things like rabbit! Ew.

It was time for Victoria's Q&A where she's known for asking difficult questions, but she moved onto to Shane, asking who else they auditioned for the role of Alfie Moon. He explained that Tony Jordan, the man who created the Slater family was inspired by 'Only Fools and Horses' and although they didn't accept him into the role at the beginning, they kept calling him back to audition. He spoke of a time where a runner would make tea and coffee for everyone on the set, and several years later, she's now a director...what a dream come true that is...from making tea to directing others to make tea and being in control of a set! In the end, he received a phone call from his agent whilst he had a few drinks. who told him that they wanted him to fulfil the role of Alfie Moon and go back in time to the 80's to play the role! It was a very interesting collection of tales of how he got the wrong and now he's in a Welsh castle...what else could he want?

In the final part of this episode, we saw the girls take part in their losing challenge called 'Barbaric'. They were each locked to a bar and the aim of the task was to find the correct key from the collection dropped onto them, quickly run to where six boxes were each filled with two stars, and retrieve them as quickly as they could! They each had to go one by one, with the choose to go in the order of Giovanna, Ruthie, Beverley, Jessica, Hollie and Victoria going last! Giovanna was first up and she was quick to unlock herself from the bar...and her chosen box with filled with tarantulas, but she quickly got them and wasn't gunked a single bit! Each of the other girls faced different insects and animals after being gunked with a mix of offal and fish guts, including Jessica who had rats and Hollie who had snakes...

The girls won a total of 10/12 stars, and Dec joked that because they didn't bring them over from the boxes, they didn't actually count. He quickly retracted his words and the girls probably would have thrown some of that gunk at him if they were allowed to, but thankfully the stars counted! (For Dec's sake anyways!). Once they went back to camp, they all went straight into the shower as Victoria stated that they all 'stank' and Jessica quickly added 'You don't want to come near us!'. Dinner was pigeon...but not the British type as observed by Giovanna, who also said 'Are you having a laugh?'...Oh, didn't seem like she was a fan of pigeon then! Vernon added that 'With all the stars we are winning, we're going through one thing at a time that's in my back garden' - what an adventurous back garden, but also...what's next? A frog??? We also found out that taking part in the next trial; 'The Harmoury' was Jessica and AJ, and we will probably be seeing that trial on Monday's show!

Monday 23rd November 2020

Everyone in the camp has now been given their roles, and some of the campmates were already getting a little stressed out about it. We saw Victoria remind Hollie to sort out the fireplace and AJ asked Shane if he could clean the pots and pans as he's unable to make breakfast - which Shane replied to with 'I need hot water' and he was getting water from where breakfast was supposed to be cooked from! Phew, what a nightmare...but at least we're not in the castle having to deal with any arguments that begin!

We had a snippet of 'The Victoria Derbyshire Show' when she and Mo spoke about his journey from Somalia, his home country to the UK when he was only eight years old! He said that his brother has ten children, and whilst he was growing in a British school, it's lucky he was good at sports, otherwise he probably wouldn't have had any friends and would have ended up going down a 'dark route'. It's an amazing story really, how if he didn't come to England when he did, he wouldn't have been motivated to go on and achieve Gold medals for our country...and he admitted that the UK will always be in his heart!

Up next was the castle coin challenge which was completed by Jordan and Ruthie. They simply had to move the ducks from one large outside space, into little compartments, that had their names on the gate! For example, they would have to move John, Joseph, Jessica and Jim into the second gate, if those four names were listed on that gate! It was a very funny challenge to watch, and they worked out that one of them needed to stand next to the gate, and other behind the duck, so that it would be blocked from running away! They had the option of bringing back chocolate mini eggs or scotch eggs back to camp, and they chose scotch eggs! The question this time was; 'According to a recent survey, what % of Brits, said that people should not propose in public. A-43% or B-33%...B was the right answer, and the scotch eggs were won for camp! Some of the other campmates were disppointed as they said they wanted chocolate as a form of energy, with Vernon going on to compare them to Alan Partridge when his breath smells of gas!

The next trial which was only going to be faced by one of the campmates is called 'The Cruel Jewels, and that's the only details we got so far! Beverley went on to explain that she had a book out called 'Unbroken' which featured stupid stories from here life, including the tale of her first boyfriend who she fell in love with at fifteen years old (and also Rebecca's Dad); who she remembers wearing a blue silk shirt, sideburns, a tash and a beard! Giovanna joined in on the conversation of kissing, by admitting that one of her friends' said that she couldn't go into Year seven without having kissed a boy, so she let Giovanna kiss her boyfriend! AJ also told a short story where he and a previous lover got stuck in eachothers braces! Ouch! And last but not least, Victoria spoke about going on a date at Rochdale Tennis Centre when she was fourteen years old, and guy she was with, burped in her mouth...Lovely.

It was time for both Jessica and AJ to face their next trial! Before heading off to the trial, Jessica tried to calm herself down by saying 'What would Giovanna say/How would Giovanna act'. The rules of the trial were that they would both have to enter alone, going to various rooms in order to find a maximum of upto 12 stars...but before they could start collecting, they had to find eachother first! The inside was pitch black, and one campmate was in charge of the str bag (which AJ nominated himself for!). They were surrounded by animals and insects including rats, pigeons and maggots among other things. They even managed to stumble across two knights in armour where they were able to retrieve a star! In total they for 6/12 which wasn't too bad; but Jessica revealed 'I was so sure we were gonna get twelve' and clearly disappointed with the final result!

Once they both got back to the camp, some of the others campmates were disappointed that they only got six, but managed to keep their feelings to themselves without showing their anger. It was over to Beverley to discuss her and 'Julie's encounter with a new member of their cast. (I think she was speaking about fellow Corrie star Julie Hesmondhalgh?!) - but anyways, they met a beautiful actress who had lovely hair and a great body; with Julie adding 'Yeah, but ugly feet'. I guess nice feet are important to have especially if they're going to be flashed on the television screen every so often!

For dinner, the campmates had hare. It was over to the chefs Mo and Giovanna to prepare and provide the food for the rest of the campmates by chopping the meat off of the bones...Giovanna felt like there was some micro management happening as there were a lot of people watching them cook, but decided to think of it as people trying to be helpful rather than them 'sticking their oare in'. Jordan stated that having people watch him cook is a stressful thing, because you're under pressure, and AJ commented that this ws the best meal to date that they have eaten so far in the castle! Shane and Vernon were speaking about some of the recent people who have taken part in trials; including Jessica and AJ, stating that they're 'cut from the same cloth' as Jordan, because they felt as if they could have got more stars in all of the trials they have been involved in! We found out at the end of the episode that Beverley was ruled out of the next trial 'The Cruel Jewels' due to medical reasons, and out of AJ and Shane, the public chose Shane to take part in the trial!

Tuesday 24th November 2020

At the beginning of this Episode, Victoria and Giovanna began discussing toads; with Giovanna asking 'What does a toad sounds like?', but Victoria admitted she'd only been awake for two minutes so wasn't ready to take part in any morning impressions! Some of the campmates were speaking about general parts of their life, with Vernon saying that 'Splash' - the show which saw celebrities become divers (with the help of GB Diver Tom Daley), compete for prize money for their chosen charity. Beverley didn't realise it was Vernon's show and said it was the 'most stupid gameshow ever', which left the housemates in hysterics...and she said 'Omg I didn't realise' and it then become not the worst show! I still can't believe how long ago it was on...I couldn't even tell you because it was that ancient!

After breakfast, Ruthie went back to the living quarters (also known as a bedroom) without finishing her breakfast, so Vernon and Victoria went over to speak to her to see if she was doing alright. Victoria added that 'people can be vulnerable, and they can't be happy all the time...it's good to let your emotions out'. This was in relation to Ruthie stating that this experience wasn't what she thought it was going to be, and from the outside it doesn't seem that you can get emotional, but when you're away from your family or friends, it's a whole new world...(minus the Aladdin pun). She added that there's a realisation of being vulnerable and she has to try and take down the armour, especially when dealing with her personal life outside of the castle. Mo added that he also has moments where he thinks about his family and friends, hoping that everything will be okay, and both he and Russell also came over to reassure Ruthie that things will be alright, and it's better to express your emotions than keeping them locked up inside!

Up next was the castle coin challenge which Shane and Giovanna took part in. Shane managed to lock himself in a cage, and it was then over to the 'blindfolded Knight', Giovanna, to knock down the Dragon piñatas and retrieve the cogs to make the puzzle! One she was able to hand the cogs to Shane, he was able to complete the puzzle, and they would win the coins! Shane added 'I couldn't think of a better night than with you'...a clear play on words but it was a very funny 'in the moment' joke. Back to camp, it was AJ who took over the cleaning duties as Ruthie was still a little sad, and Shane was busy in his castle coin challenge. He added 'No wonder our rice had got some weird flavours', revealing that Shane didn't seem to clean the pots properly, with AJ showing the rest of the campmates how he turned them from being brown and dirty to shiny and silver! Anyways, the campmates had a phone call from the Ye Olde Shoppe and it was Jessica who got the phone this time! They had to answer the question; 'According to a recent survey, what % of Brits think that gender equality has been achieved in relation to household responsibilities. A- 32% or B- 21%). The correct answer was B, but the campmates selected A. They would have either won marshmellow or a bathroom plug for camp, but obviously won neither!

We found out that the next trial was going to be called 'The Sickening Stalls' and that two of the campmates would be taking part in this one...BUT before that, it was Shane's time for a trial called 'The Cruel Jewels'. Jessica stated that 'he's the thing that holds us all together, he's gonna have a laugh. It doesn't matter how many stars he brings back' - and that hopefully gave Shane a bit of confidence, although he never heard Jessica say that words to his face, it was only to the other campmates after he had already left to do his trial. He had to manouevre his way through five different 'royal sections/cabinets', collecting as many stars as he could, out of a possible twelve.

Before even getting into the first cabinet, Shane managed to trip on the stairs leading to the entry point; jokily saying that 'The challenge was just getting up the stairs'. In the first section he had to use his hands to go through a variety of pots to find the two stars that were there, and he was surrounded by both mealworms and maggots. In the second section, he had to sit in a royal chair, with one star around the snakes...and once he put hs head through the gap, he was welcomed by four bearded dragons. In this cabinet, he had to use his mouth and/or tongue to twist the stars off of the cogs, and once they fell off, he was able to retrieve them with hands! The next sections were filled with snakes, which he thought were 'angry' and once again in another throne with 200 spiders (one of his fears); which Ant & Dec reminded him off several times, just so he didn't forget that he was with 200 spiders. In this fifth and final section, there were a collection of 'naked rats' and then the final challenge was for him to put his hand in a box with thirty scorpions, and after all of that, he won the full 12/12 stars!

Jordan did a little dance for Hollie, and it was over for Ruthie to teach the rest of the campmates a snippet of the song 'All That Jazz' from the theatre show Chicago, which she featured in! Once Shane came back from his trial and revealed that twelve stars were won, Ruthie said 'Shane has always been a legend, and now he's a star legend!'. For dinner, they had crayfish and chilli, which sounds like the best meal of the series so far; Vernon adding it was the best meal so far! Giovanna added that the mood in the 'kitchen' was a happy one, and it seemed like the awkward mood has disappeared, probably because everyone had food and were thereforen= not 'hangry' - a mix of being hungry and angry at the same time! Russell added that the crayfish didn't only look incredible, but there was also an 'incredible aroma from the tin'. Mo Farah added that Gordon Ramsey better watch out, because they served up a great meal...especially without using all the spices, garlics and ingredients that chefs have the ability to use when not stuck in a castle! To end the episode, Jordan decided to jump in the shower with Shane whilst Vernon was in control of the water...all of them giggling non stop! The next trial 'The Sickening Stalls' had its 2020 victims; and it was both Jessica and Shane (Once again) who were both going to be taking on the trial! Oh, and both Ant & Dec revealed that the votes were open for the new leader and deputy leader of camp (after Jordan and Victoria had done a grat job so far, but their reign was over!).

Wednesday 25th November 2020

On tonight's episode, there was another night of heavy snoring, and Shane commented that he 'thought there was an RAF fighter coming over the castle' as Beverley was making all sorts of noises again! Victoria suggested that he should try and nudge her gently and hopefully the noises will stop...but he tripped and accidentally scared her. Once she was awake, she spoke of her husband being a 'mega shag' and that he treats her with a dance every morning. As it was Russell's birthday, everybody began singing happy birthday, and somebody mistook Jordan's innocent drawing of balloons for something rather naughty - and Russell said 'It's very sweet and thank you very much' for the celebrations in the castle!

It was Russell that was having a 'down day' in camp, and Ruthie stated that the good thing about being in camp, is that the other people around will come and make sure you're feeling okay. Russell opened up and said that his wife Laura usually makes a massive thing of his birthday every year, with Giovanna adding 'Each birthday comes with gratitude, and it must be difficult to not spend this birthday with friends, family and those closest to you. We found out that four of the campmates would be taking part in the castle coin challenge, and it was decided by luck! Each of the campmates had to retrieve a stick from a container, and whoever's were red, they would be up for the challenge...it was Beverley, followed by Giovanna, Jessica and finally Ruthie! As the girls were leaving the camp, Vernon began singing Beyoncé's 'Who run the world'...girls' and the others started joining in! For the challenge, each of the girls had to endure twelve minutes of critters in a 'mean massage', to win a luxury spa for either themselves, eachother, or for somebody else back at camp. During their massage they were covered in mealworms, spiders etc and then a snake was balanced onto the back of their neck (as they were facing down). Ruthie said 'Pretend Ant and Dec are here, giving us the cheeky input' - which I don't understand the meaning of, and Giovanna tried helping everyone out by reminding them to breathe. Beverley stated 'I think I want to stop breathing' which was quite a funny moment on the episode, and all four of them survived the full twelve minutes! During their interview before going back to camp, Ruthie began a sentence with 'There's nothing you can do to me now...' and Beverley quickly stopped her by saying 'You don't want to say that', insinuating that the public would more likely vote her for futre trials to see if she was able to stick by her word.

Beverley chose Vernon, Giovanna chose Hollie, Jessica chose Giovanna and Ruthie chose birthday boy Russell, so the four of them got into their spa outfits and went to their luxury spa! Within minutes, Vernon explained that he had almost gone back to the nine year old version of himself, whilst watching Scooby Doo and they were all able to delve into a selection of fruity treats including mangos, strawberries, pinapple...and also houmous, which Giovanna labelled as 'fruity deliciousness'. Russell added that when he woke up on his birthday, he was looking forward to rice and beans, but didn't think he would be chilling in a spa! In Giovanna's interviw to the camera she said 'It's a lovely way to end the day, well, it's not, because we've still got a trial which at least one of us has been nominated for'.

The next trial to be announced was called 'Wicked Waterways' which we would find out the results for the two selected campmates taking part in this trial, at the end of the show - but Beverley was ruled out due to medical reasons! It was over to Shane and Jessica to take part in 'The Sickening Stalls', and they found out it was a drinking challenge. Before they went off to do the trial, Jessica admitted that she was feeling a little nervous, and Shane managed to remind her that he's been stuck in the Queen Vic with Phil Mitchell, so what was she worried out?!?'. There were another twelve stars up for grabs and three stalls which they had to drink a pre made drink from. Before the trial, Ant asked how they both felt, and simultaneously they replied 'Sick'. Up first was the castle coffee and smoothie stall; 'Rancid Refreshments' which saw each of them drink in turn. Shane's first drink was an 'Eggspresso' (Blended fermented duck eggs) and then a 'Gawberry Smoothie' (Blended sheep's testicles), whilst Jessica had 'Eyes Coffee' (Blended fish eyes) and an 'Avacarto(e)' (Blended chicken's feet). Gross, but it only got worse from here.

The second stall was called 'Terrifying Tickles' which sold ales and wines. Shane was up first again to drink 'Half a pint of critter' (Blended locusts, crickets and mealworms) and 'Zinfannydel' (Blended pig's vagina)...and Jessica had to drink 'Half a pint of snout' (Blended pig's snout) and a 'Glass of Prosicko' (Blended vomitfruit). They managed to win all eight stars so far, but it was over to the final drinks, which were soups, at the stall 'Brutal Broths'. Shane's final drinks were 'Heartychoke Soup' (Blended cow's heart) and 'Asspachio' (Blended sheep's anus), and for Jessica, 'Lenthell Soup' (Fermented Herring) and a 'Knobster beast' (Goat's penis). They managed to get all twelve stars for camp, but there were a few noises and gags along the way, and thankfully they were al worth it. Oh yes, I must add that once the trial was over, Jessica unfortunately threw up...but I think she was able to quickly recover.

To end the episode, Jordan decided to have his first shave whilst being in the castle, and went from a 30 year old man to a little boy in minutes, discovering his other personality 'Jeff' in the meantime. For dinner, the campmates were awarded pheasant and vegetables - but unfortunately Jessica still didn't feel well from the earlier trial, and decided to go to bed early! AJ revealed that he was getting very hungry, and Shane began counting down the time that their meal would be fully cooked by. After eating the meal, Jordan admitted 'It's like chicken...but better' and we found out that Hollie and Shane would both be taking part in the next trial 'Wicked Waterways' - which made Vernon so excited, that he spat out his drink! I don't think there was anything wrong with his water...

Thursday 26th November 2020

Another day in the castle and more 'fun' to be had. Thankfully Jessica woke up in a good mood after the drinking trial she faced in yesterday's episode. There was a funny section of the show where Shane began talking nonsense to some of the other campmates, as that's what he does with the kids at home to wind them up whilst also using buzzwords. So, he tried it on some of the campmates including Vernon who just burst out laughing. He tried again with Jordan, speaking about a policeman, something to do with Mo and explaining that 'he was there' when it happened...but Jordan became really confused and wasn't sure if Shane was just messing around. Finally, it was Giovanna who listened to his 'nonsense', and he began laughing as he walked away.

The next part of the show saw Victoria reading a scroll which would reveal that the public had been voting for a new leader of camp. The person with the highest number of votes was Giovanna, and she chose Beverley as her deputy leader! Jordan sighed a 'Yay' and Giovanna stated 'That football scarf can do one, I've been eyeing up that chair, and now I'm in the chair! They revealed that the new roles were as follows:

Chefs - Vernon and Victoria, Maintenance - Mo and Shane, Cleaners - Jordan and Hollie, Laundy - Ruthie and Russell and those on Washing Up - Jessica and AJ. AJ quickly mentioned 'If you do a job too well, you get given the role', as we saw that he was able too transform their eating bowls from dirty to clean...when that wasn't even his primary role!

The next castle coin challenge saw Hollie and Victoria enter an enchanted castle with various items from fairytale stories including Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Snow White and Hansel and Gretel (Shame there ws no Frozen!). It was over to Victoria who became the reader, and Hollie had to find the missing words to the phrases...and if they got it wrong, the other would get gunged! After several sentences they switched roles, and they managed to eventually get all of the sentences complete, winning them the coins to take the shop and trade for food! They could choose between gingerbread men or jelly beans, and opted for jelly beans as they would bring some sugar and energy to camp, and some people don't like ginger! The other campmates had to answer another question to win the item, and it was 'According to a recent survey, what % of parents admit to having a favourite child. A- 10% or B- 18%. The answer was A and they correct answered the question!

The campmates began briefly speaking about their most embarrasing moments, with Victoria stating that she was discussing the next leader of the conservative party and she mis pronounced somebody's name on air, but instead of moving on...she put her head in her hands and apologised. Jordan said whilst interviewing singer/songwriter Yungblud, they told him not to mention anything about his ex Halsey, and he said 'We're going to continue speaking to Halsey in a few minutes' - which was probably a little bit of an awkward moment for him...and finally, Mo spoke about a time where he was in a race, got tripped over and went to the floor face first, but he was able to get himself up and continue running, but he started running the wrong way! How embarrasing!

We found out that the next trial was called 'The Chambers of Horror' which two campmates would be taking part in, but Russell was exempt for medical reasons. However, it was over to Shane and Hollie who had been voted to complete 'Wicked Waterways' to complete their trial! Just before leaving camp, Shane shouted out 'I've got a world champion with me, I think I'm gonna be alright'. Ant and Dec revealed that the trial consisted of transferring water through a tunnel into the collection pipes, which would help the stars float up high enough that they were able to be placed in the star bag! Shane went into the top tunnel and was in charge of passing the water down to Hollie, and Hollie had to fill the containers and retrieve as many stars as she could! Although at the beginning of the challenge there was some difficulty manouvering the bucket around the chain and keeping the water in the bucket as well as a lack of communication, they managed to get a total of two stars, which was four meals for camp! As they both began walking back to the castle, Shane shouted out 'Don't ever phone me again, I'm done!' - and I think that was in relation to trials, but I think he said it as a bit of a joke...because he's been involved with the last three trials!

As the others were waiting for the trial results, Jessica started asking 'Would You Rather' questions which included bare faced or makeup and toes for fingers or fingers for toes...whith Ruthie misheard for 'toast' - the hunger shows! Giovanna added that all of the conversations in the castle seemed to lead back to food, and maybe that was a sign that they were all hungry! After the bad news of trial, Vernon said that he had to 'mentally go through the book books at home, to try and work out how to turn four meals into twelve'. Once their dinner was delivered to camp, Shane admitted that he's had 'bigger poos' - maybe as the portion was so small! Their dinner was monkfish, which had really sharp teeth, and Victoria even got prickled by one of the teeth! Jordan added 'It sort of looks like me when I wake up in the morning', also commenting on the fish's sharp teeth! Vernon also admitted to only reading one cook book which Tess bought for him a while back and he tried to 'pull out his inner Rick Stein' to see if he could make a good dish. AJ added that 'It looked like a lovely meal...for one', so I'm guessing he remained hungry after the meal, and Giovanna commented that 'They did a good job with what they had'. Mo also decided to 'toot' whilst next to Giovanna, who said that she's 'never been tooted by a Sir before'. The results of the next trial were announced for 'Chambers of Horror' and it was Shane and AJ taking part (probably due to the little argument that they had around the cleaning of the pots and pans) - with Shane saying 'I'll show him the way down'...as he probably knows the route to the trials off by heart now!

We found out there was 'big news' accounced, which came in the form of the vote offs opening in tomorrow's show where the public were able to begin saving some of their favourite housemates on the numbers below:

09020 44 24 and add 01 for AJ, 02 for Beverley, 03 for Giovanna, 04 for Hollie, 05 for Jessica, 06 for Jordan, 07 for Mo, 08 for Shane, 09 for Vernon, 10 for Victoria, 11 for Russell and 12 for Ruthie! (or from a phone, you can text 6 44 24 and the celebrity you want to save). The last piece of news was that the first eviction was going to happen in tomorrow's episode! Twelve will soon be eleven! But who will be first to go?

Friday 27th November 2020

After tonight's episode, there's only going to be a week left until the finale of 'I'm A Celebrity' 2020, BUT, that means there's one more daily review to add to finish off Week 2! At the beginning of the episode, Shane was complaining about stomach pains and explained that he spent 20 minutes on the toilet...knowing it was going to be either 'wind' or 'a trip to the toilet'. The boys were also doing some detective work to see which one of the guys had 'bad aim' and they came to the conclusion it was Jordan, as somebody would check after each guy finished in the privy. Jordan admitted that sometimes he missed the toilet and he would 'rub that little bit of wee in' with his foot. Gross (once again)! It wasn't just the boys of camp who had entertaining trips to the toilet as Beverley asked some of the other campmates to sing and make noise whilst she went to do her business!

The last castle coin challenge of the week saw Vernon and Mo having to complete quick fire maths puzzles whilst in a forest. Vernon was dressed at Friar Tuck (try not to say that the other way round) and Mo was dressed as Robin Hood. Each time they worked out an answer, they had to aim for that target to release a bag of coins...which they needed to earn five in total, to trade for snacks! After successfully completing the challenge, the campmates had to answer another question; 'According to a recent survey, what % of Brits claim to have seen a ghost in their lifetime?'. A- 11% or B- 20%. The answer was B but they all chose A, and they weren't able to win the chocolate coins (which they had chosen over mini cheddars). Back at camp Victoria was explaining a situation where she poured a drink over a woman who was speaking to her boyfriend at the time whilst she was at her University ball, as it 'really hacked her off'. She asked Russell anbout his singing warm ups and whether he can be bothered to do it all the time to which he replied 'Sometimes I can't be bothered to sing Nessun Dorma'. Hollie added that one minute in the camp they were listening to Russell singing, and the next minute they were all singing. Mo also added 'I'm not a singer, I've got to stay in my own lane!' Nice one Mo! Vernon spoke about singing scales, admitting that 'there are some scales that you think you're not gonna reach, but you actually can' (whilst also practicing the scales mid sentence).

Shane and AJ's trial 'Chambers of Horror' was the next part of the show, which Shane shouted 'Tonight we shall eat like Kings and Queens' before they walked off for the trial. The trial involved them both being sealed in a chamber with their bodies below the ground, and their head in a perplexed glass box. There were six rounds where they would take it in turns to get a star off of the rail with only their tongue and mouths, and in each round there would be less and less time...and also they wouldn't be alone! In rounds one, two and three the boys faced maggots, followed by locusts and crickets, followed by 25 whip scorpions (most likely to have inspired the Whip Nae Nae dance from a few years back now!) which Shane told AJ to deal with, by 'thinking of Ann Widdecombe if that helps'. Rounds four and five saw the boys dealing with 2,000 cockroaches and 25 madagascar hissing cockroaches, followed by six snakes which was a tricky part of the trial for both of them. Shane reminded AJ to 'stay still' to which AJ said 'stay still, are you being serious'. In the sixth and final round they were joined by five rats and five naked rats and has 45 seconds to both remove their stars from the rail infront of them...in total they achieved 11/12 stars which was incredible! AJ mentioned after the trial 'I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight, I'll be waking up every 10 minutes'.

Giovanna mentioned that they 'need to eat' at camp as 'a proper meal will give everyone a bit of energy and a boost for tomorrow'. AJ had the honour to annoucne that they had won 11 stars and both he and Shane explained the challenge they had to face! Victoria said 'It's great they came back with 11 stars, especially after how they described what the trial was all about...and it was probably Shane's worst nightmare having to face those rats, especially if you're got a phobia of them like he does. The next conversation began with Victoria asking everyone who the most famous person was in their mobile phone. Mo stated it was Thierry Henry, a footballer, who he texts every two weeks, and his second most famous contact was Anthony Joshua, the boxer - who Victoria added 'When you come over for dinner, invite Anthony as well!'. Vernon Kay bragged that his most famous contact was Brad Pitt who is also a massive Call of Duty fan...but quickly stated that is was a lie and he managed to fool Victoria, Jordan and Beverley among others. Jessica admitted that she doesn't have anybody famous in her phone, and Vernon quickly added that 'My wife' is probably the most famous person in his phone...Tess Daly, current presenter of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Claudia Winkleman among other things!

Some of the campamtes spoke about some previous experiences that have had over the last year, with Mo stated that in 2017 whilst he was competing, he put his son on his shoulders and had both his twins and his other daughter by his side whilst they did a lap around the racing track. For dinner, the campmamtes were treated to venison as this was their 'final meal as 12 celebrities' read out by Victoria. Giovanna added that the good news was that they were eating venison, but the really sad news is that this was going to be their last meal as the full 12 adding 'it's just a shocker'. Other comments were from Mo who stated 'it's th last meal, let's enjoy it!', Vernon who spoke about how succelent the meat was, and Jordan stating that 'going out for a meal with your other half is great...and then your other half breaks up with you...you're not going to enjoy the meal are you?'. You're absolutely right Jordan...but eat up, there's probably some more trials coming soon!

It was then over to the campmates to say their goodbyes in advance and 'thank you's for their great time in the castle so far, as they all knew that their time was nearly up! Shane stated that when you reach 50 years of age, you think you've got all the friends you need, but coming into the castle 'we've gone from strangers to friends, and I could call any one of you 'fart' and then hang up the phone and I'll know you'll laugh' - very honest, but it's great how much of a bond they have all made in such a short space of time! AJ wanted to thank everyone for just 'being you', Russell said he'll miss the 'camaraderie' and thanked everyone for making himself and Ruthie welcome as the latecomers to the camp! Ruthie also wanted to thank everyone for helping her 'pull down the mask' as she explains that she was really frightened to come into the camp, but when she arrived, everyone picked her up. Vernon described everyone as 'the perfect jigsaw of personalities' and Jessica also wanted to thank everyone for helping her to recognise her strengths a little more. Jordan and Beverley were the final campmates to have their say with Jordan stating that before coming into the castle, he made every excuse not to come in, and was 'worried about everything', but once he came in on the first day and met everyone, all his worries from the outside went away...and Beverley told Mo's wife to watch out because she still found it surreal to be sitting next to a world class olympian, admitting that sometimes what he does it a 'little sexy' - and Mo didn't want to 'let anyone go'!

We found out that the public had been voting to eliminate their first campmate from the show and it was between Ruthie and Hollie, but Hollie was the first to leave the camp! In total she spent 14 days in camp, had a face full of slime and wiggled her way through the trial 'Wicked Waterways' with Shane Richie...how many people can say they've done that? During her interview with Ant and Dec, she said that she wanted to enter the show to prove herself, and after only being outside for five minutes, she was already missing her fellow campmates! She added that 'you never know what to expect when you walk into a room with 11 other people including their personalities or as individuals'. She explained that she's going to miss sleeping on the hard beds, hearing Shane's farts, listening to Jordan say goodnight to everyone, and waking up to everyone saying 'Good Morning', 'You alright' before a busy day of trials and challenges! She also explained that as a paralympian she didn't want to let anybody down in the trials, so was competing to win for the rest of camp...and that she tried her best, enjoyed every second of the show and that she wanted Jordan to win! As she left the studio, you could see that she was really disappointed, as nobody wants to be the first person to leave the show, but she did really well and I'm sure she's still going to have an incredible future ahead of her, along with her other gold medals!

I'll be back next week with the third and final weekly review of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here 2020!
