Hey all,
In this post I thought I would quickly summarise and comment on a film released back in 2011 called 'Horrible Bosses'. It's a comedy film that features Jason Bateman, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Aniston among other, and the premise of the film is that 3 friends all hate the bosses in their current working environments, and come up with a strategy to murder them.
At the beginning of the film we see 'Curt' who is a young man working for Mr Pellit, but after he dies, Bobby Pellit takes over the company but doesn't care about anybody but himself and causes Curt to not enjoy his time at work. He suggests that he fires all the fat people because they're lazy, and changes all the plans that his father set up, because he's not here anymore...
We also see 'Dale' who works as a dental assistant for his boss Julia, but after explaining to her that he is engaged to another woman, she does everything in her power to tease him and flirt with him in the working environment. She also offers his fiancee free dental treatment in order to pursue her for pleasure...and she's quite messed up.
The third and final friend we meet is 'Nick' who works in an office for a manager who hasn't promoted him to a senior role for over 8 years and treats him like his little servant.
Throughout the film, Curt, Dale and Nick stumble across different characters and get themselves caught up in difficult situations...such as venturing to a dangerous area to try and find a hitman to kill their bosses but end up initially paying £200 to a 'wet man' who they think commits crimes...but insteads wants to be paid to wee on men, and then paying £5,000 to a criminal who's worst crime was recording a cinema screening and sharing it online. The criminal they gave the money too suggests that the best way for them not to get caught is by killing eachothers bosses, so they go to each of their homes to try and find intel in order to use it against them.
I'm not going to spoil the film for anybody that hasn't watched it, but it's a comedy crime film where things don't go to plan, but things end up going to plan in a bit of a backwards way...either way, I really enjoyed watching this film on a spontaneous evening, and apparently there is a 'Horrible Bosses 2' film, but I haven't watched that yet, so I'll see if I can give that a watch at some point...maybe?
