Ooh look at me being 'Mr Relevant' by reviewing a music video. This is a NEW song with a NEW video, released by Billie Eilish who I cannot believe is younger than me, but has achieved so much more already...and she's only just turned 18 years old!
I feel like Billie's gone a little quiet in terms of music, but vocal on social media! With her new track, she is seen running up a set of escalator in an empty shopping mall with her black (and green highlighted hair); probably looking for some more music awards as we come to the end of 2021. 'I'm not your friend, or anything...damn' are some of the opening lyrics to the chorus of this song, which could be referring to a lover or somebody in her life who wants to be associated with her, and she just doesn't have any time for it.
In the music video she is seen casually walking around the various shops and stalls, there is a little bit of comedic genius where she enters and exits a lift (with no music or background noise; just to make you wanting more! She walks around more of the shopping mall and then takes a doughnut! I'm sure it would usually cost around $5 for that...She then goes to some of the other stalls and drinks a slushie and grabs as much food as she can hold, because you know what...she can afford it anyways and will probably pay for the items anyway...but just as a bit of convenience, she's hungry and now she's not!
I'll reiterate the same point I made at the beginning of this post. Billie is 18 years old, and now she has a free mall to herself! The song is great, her outfit is great as she's not following the stereotype look of having to wear something expensive (or be naked) which most artists do nowadays to get more attention on social media. But yeah, she's so casual, calm and collected, and this was a great time for a song like this to enter the charts...It could get to number one, who knows?
