Bhad Bhabie 'Do It Like Me' - Music Video Review

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

Hey all!

Welcome back to another music video review! Today, I am going to be reacting to the new single 'Do It Like Me' by none other than Danielle Bregoli a.k.a Bhad Bhabie! I am honestly so happy that she's already released a whole EP of music, and I am very excited to hear new music from her very soon. I think 2021 will be a massive year for Danielle, and this is probably only the beginning of her music! Without further ado, here's my written reaction!

At the beginning of the music video, you can see Danielle in the middle of a boxing ring with two female fighters ready to fight - which could be a reminder to those who previously knew about any of her disagreements with other females in the industry. She was wearing a really cool black and white bra, with other outfits including a purple, white, blue and red bikini with a 'BHAD' collar piece along with her trademark large earrings. Some of the initial opening lyrics include 'Don't talk to em' talk to my CashApp' which probably means, don't ask about me, just send me money and 'I'm still a petty a*s b*tch, I ain't past that', which means she still acts similarly to how she did when she appeared back on Dr. Phil, but sometimes being petty means that you're able to stand up for yourself and what you want.

The next verse starts with the lines 'I got plenty jewels on my wrist' which indicates that she has a lot of money, and continues to rap the words 'I got plenty dudes on my line' which could also identify that there are a lot of guys who are sliding into her DM's and probably trying to become friends with her now, due to her recent success in the industry...which is usually what happens to ordinary people as well. Just because they now own a dog, a car or a house, people want to try and 'join in' with the new lifestyle somebody has, yet didn't want to know them when they were unemployed, overweight or going through issues. The phrase I like to stick by is 'You don't deserve me at my best, if you can't handle me at my worst'!

Towards the end of the song she sings the lyrics 'Bad b*tch photogenic' which signals that she might enjoy being in front of the camera having her portrait taken (and I must say, I have some first hand experience doing this when I was in the front row of the audience watching her perform at the O2 in Islington...and she was INCREDIBLE! She goes on to sing other lyrics before saying 'I ain't never been the average, trust me, I'm a f*cking savage' to show that she understands there is nobody that can bring her down, and she has always been different to other people, and her link to the word 'savage' can probably mean that she isn't going to tolerate anything bad from other people, or she'll 'catch them outside' which was the initial social media phrase that went viral and made her as successful as she is today! The final part of the music video shows a triple screen with some really close up shots of Danielle in the middle which is quite modern and trendy, and you can see her sitting on some large golden speakers, maybe so she can play this song out extremely loud, to signal to others that her time in the music industry is most certainly not over just yet!
