Hey all!
I thought I would write a blog post about an experience that I will probably remember for the rest of my life! For those of you that are only just tuning in, I am a content creator with a variety of content on different platforms (some of which I have unfortunately stopped for now!) - BUT I used to get a lot of my creativity and motivation from YouTube! One type of video that I always make time to watch, are the ones that require you to work out who's the missing person to the puzzle or who is different from the rest! Take a look at some thumbnails below and see if you recognise the channels I am referring to!
During the coronavirus pandemic, a lot of the recent videos have had to be created remotely (away from the studio); but that benefits people like myself who are not in America and unable to be in the videos, and gives us the opportunity to be casted for some of the content! And so, I received an email from Jubilee Media (the second channel) who sent out some alerts for upcoming collaborations they are needing people for. Unfortunately I was not eligible to take part in three of them, as I HAD to be based in America, but I applied for the 4th collaboration which was to be a game of chess with 9 mixed level players against one mystery professional! I had a variety of interviews and camera checks to ensure that firstly, I knew where I would be positioning my camera if I was successful, but also, they wanted to screen everyone to make sure they casted a variety of different people!
I decided not to promote the video (as the views themselves may guide other people on the internet to find me (or my social media profiles) - and being a British person, I'm sure the Americans will try their hardest to find me! I love them just as much as they love our accents.
Below are some screenshots of our little group once we made it successfully to the Zoom call to PROVE THAT I WAS ACTUALLY IN THE VIDEO! (And a screenshot of the professional player we were playing against!!! - 13 year old Dylan);
The 9 players were myself, Jenny, Percy, Sowad, Max, Julia, Sam, Ogo and Ariana and the professional player was Dylan Dolotta - who is ranked in the Top 100 chess players EVER!

Hope you enjoyed reading this post. I'll be back again soon!
