Interviewing Media, History & English Students

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

Throughout my second year studying media, myself and a friend called Indigo Johnson were given the opportunity to help film some interviews. I was the presenter and she was on the camera with our employability manager Georgia Stone, with assistance from Ella Farnsworth at some of the shoots!

THE TASK:

-Was sent an email to get a group of enthusiastic media students willing to help with a project.

-Had to interview third year media students about the placement opportunity they took during their second year on the course- questions included:

>Basic information such as their name, course and placement details >Information on the company they worked for and job role >Hints and tips they would give to second year students (things they didn’t do)

Firstly, I was given the oppofrtunity to interview the third year media students (when I was in my second year) and the videos were roughly edited and shown on a variety of open days and at some of the events promoting NTU Employability and some of the services they can provide! Here is a screenshot below:

Below are the links to some of the edited interviews with the second year History and English students, asking them questions including what they did for their work placement module, their personal skills and tips for students embarking on their journey of doing work experience/placements…

I decided to split the interview questions up into 5 Parts, and they are all listed below:

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Part 4:

Part 5:
